Cyra Kuro is a pessimist 一 a well written out one too. It's a first-person tale so each chapter is laced with the right amount of story telling and sarcastic comedy. The story follows through with the game mostly. It's written beautifully and the time of the story is consistent.

From reading the description you can see a reluctant Cyra is making her way to take on the famous Alolan Trials followed by a few all-too-happy people: Hau, Lillie, and Senya. Hau and Lillie have their in-game personalities as normal but they are more in depth and thought out in the story, making them seem almost like real people 一 aswell as Senya

Throughout the story, Cyra must both overcome her past and herself in order to save her, and maybe more, after being on the receiving end of a series of unfortunate events.

SUMMARY

"It's not like I fucking asked for any of this!"

Cyra is a bit of a tyrant, thrown from Sinnoh to Alola in an unwanted heartbeat. She doesn't believe there's truly any hope for her until her boring life is put into a spiral by the Tapus.

Now she's destined to embark on a journey across the four islands of Alola with the always-smiling grandson of a Kahuna, his oddball best friend, and Kukui's pretty assistant.

But there's a nightmare unfolding at the heart of this paradise, one threatening to blot out the sun's light forever. Will they manage to bring light not only to Alola, but to the darkness clouding Cyra's mind?
