Alaya's P.O.V.

I sat down on my bed, pulling out the box. I studied it a bit longer before opening it.

When I opened the box, I caught a slight glimpse of a white necklace before the box was consumed by a silver orb. I immediately threw the box, but the orb only stayed put. I moved back slightly, only to move back further when the orb disappeared to reveal a small, floating snow leopard. I screamed.

"A flying cat!! What world do I live in?!?" I yelled and continued screaming, standing up off my bed and backing up. The small animal only stared at me. I didn't bother to take a good look at it as I started picking up colored pencils and throwing them at it. It moved closer, and I backed up into a wall. 

"Back away!" I yelled, frantically looking around for something to capture it so I could take it to Sabine and Tom. I grabbed a cup and captured the tiny creature, and started reaching for the door. 

"Tom! Sab-" The creature phased through the cup, "No, Alaya! You can't tell them! You mustn't tell anyone I exist! You could bring grave danger upon them!" My eyes widened as I screamed again. 

"I-i-it talks!!!!" I scrambled away from the trapdoor. I grabbed out my pocket knife and opened it, holding it out toward the tiny creature. It flew back. 

"Put that away!" It's high - pitched voice squealed. I didn't comply, continuing to hold the knife out. 

"Tell me who you are, what you are, how you know my name, and why you're here and I will!" The creature sighed.

"My name's Winni, and I'm a kwami. I grant magical powers... Superhero powers. Yours is the greatest of all... Well... Mostly." 

"What do you mean mostly?" I asked, curious now. 

"The greatest power is when a Miraculous holder has both the Ladybug earrings and the Ring of the Black Cat. Then, the holder gets absolute power. Your power is in the middle. It's a bit more powerful than the ladybug earrings. Got it?" I shook my head 'no'. The creature looked done. 

"Anyway... I'm here because there's someone out there who wants this absolute power. He wants the Ladybug and Black Cat miraculouses to rule the world. He's too powerful for Ladybug and Chat Noir to stop him alone. You must help them!" I scoffed, "Why me? Couldn't you have gotten someone else? Surely there's someone better than me. Plus, I have to go back to America after a while. How do I defend Paris while I'm in America?" The Kwami got a really serious look on it's face. 

"You must stay! You can't leave. Ever!" My eyes widened. I had to go home later... "Find someone else to be your..."

 "Prowler." 

"Yeah. Find someone else to be your 'Prowler'." I said. I couldn't do it. 

"But you are the chosen one! You have to do it Alaya!" I scoffed once more, "Chosen one? By who? Some voodoo Asian guy?" I asked. She looked offended. 

"Sorry! Tell me please..?" She sighed, "I.. I can't tell you right now. But you have to do it!" I sighed. 

"Okay... I suppose I'll try. When do I start?" The Kwami looked at me. 

"I'm not done explaining yet, but you can start learning when I'm done." I nodded. Okay... I listened to the rest of what my kwami had to say.
