(Readers POV)

I heard my alarm clock going off. I opened my eyes and groaned. I turned the clock off and forced myself out of bed. I looked around my room and I don't see Blake anywhere.

(Y/N): I guess she went back to her dorm after I fell asleep.

I went to the bathroom and turned the shower on. I thought about how to spend my day, other than train with Ozpin.

(Y/N): Maybe team RWBY would like to hang out.

I took my clothes off and stepped into the shower. The water feels nice on my skin. I can hear a knocking on my dorm door.

(Y/N): In a second!

I turned the shower off and wrapped a towel my waist. I got out the bathroom and went to the door. I opened it and saw Ozpin there.

Ozpin: Did I catch you at a bad time?

(Y/N): It's fine. Just let me get some clothes on.

Ozpin nodded. I closed the door and hurried to get clothes. I found some and quickly put them on. I went back to the door and opened it.

Ozpin: Good, you're ready. Let's get going.

I walked out of my room and we started to walk down the hallway.

Ozpin: It looks like something is bothering you. Do you want to talk about it?

(Y/N): Well... I ran into a group of students...

I looked around, making sure no one was around.

(Y/N): ...And I sensed the other half of the Fall Maiden power.

Ozpin looked around, making sure no one was nearby.

Ozpin: Are you positive?

I just nodded my head.

Ozpin: What do they look like, how many were in the group, and do they know you know?

(Y/N): I don't think telling you is a good idea.

Ozpin: What? Why not?

(Y/N): Because if I told you what they looked like, you will keep a close eye on them and they'll probably notice that and do something.

Ozpin thought about it and smiled at me.

Ozpin: Looks like your overthinking worked out. I do see your concerns. You want to take this the subtle way. You will be going back to class.

(Y/N): What?

Ozpin: You said you ran into them. If they don't see you in class, they'll get suspicious of you. Who ever they are, we have to make sure that they don't know you are onto them.

I nodded my head.

(Y/N): Guess I'll see you after class.

Ozpin: Now hurry along. You don't want to be late.

I continued to walk down the hall, leaving Ozpin behind.

(Time Skip)

I'm in Glynda's class. Pyrrha got done fighting all of team CRDL. She won pretty easily.

Glynda: Pyrrha Nikos is the winner. Congrats Miss Nikos, you should have no problem qualifying for the tournament.

Pyrrha: Thank you, Professor.

Glynda: We have time for one more match.

She looked at the students.

Glynda: Ms. Belladonna?

Blake slammed her book closed and looked at Glynda wide eyed.

Glynda: You've been rather docile for the past few classes. Why don't you -

I saw a boy with grey hair raise his hand.

Mercury: I'll do it.

Glynda: Mercury, is it? Very well, let's find you an opponent.

So that's his name. I'll have to remember that, since he's apart of the group with the Fall Maiden powers.

Mercury: Actually, I want to fight... her.

He pointed at Pyrrha.

Glynda: Miss Nikos has already fought. Maybe you should pick-

Pyrrha: No, it's fine! I'd be happy to oblige.

Mercury left his seat and got ready to fight Pyrrha. I got up and sat down next to Blake. Glynda made me realize that Blake has been pretty weird today and I want to know why.

(Y/N): Hey Blake.

Blake: Hey (Y/N).

(Y/N): How has your day been so far?

Blake: Fine.

I can tell she isn't being honest. I get the feeling that she is just answering me so I don't bother her.

(Y/N): Are you going to the dance Saturday?

Blake: What?

(Y/N): You know, the dance. You wanna go?

Blake: I don't have time for a stupid dance.

Ok, so Blake is a little hostile today. I turned my attention back to Mercury and Pyrrha's fight. Pyrrha is running at Mercury.

Mercury: I forfeit.

Pyrrha ran past him and stopped.

Pyrrha: You... Don't even want to try?

Mercury: We're obviously leagues apart. There would be no point in trying.

That doesn't make sense. Why would he want to fight Pyrrha if he knows he isn't a match for her? I heard the bell ring, snapping me out of my thoughts.

Glynda: That is all for today. And remember, the dance is this weekend. But you all have your first mission on Monday. I will not accept any excuses.

I saw everyone get up and leave the room. Mercury stayed where he was, stretching. I got up and was about to leave the room. I used my semblance and increased my hearing.

Mercury: Learning is so much fun.

I saw team RWBY walking away. I caught up with them.

(Y/N): Classes are boring.

Ruby: They are.

Yang: I thought you were training with Ozpin. What happened to that?

I guess Blake told Ruby, Weiss, and Yang about my training with Ozpin.

(Y/N): I decided to take a break from it.

We made it to their dorm room. Me and team RWBY walked in.

Yang: Blake, can you sit down?

Blake: Ok...?

Blake went over to her bed and sat down on it.

Weiss: We heard you talking to (Y/N) in class.

Ruby: We want you to go to the dance.

Blake: That's ridiculous.

Yang: Blake, we're worried about you. This investigation is starting to mess with your head.

Weiss: You can't sleep, you hardly eat, and to be honest, your grades have been suffering.

Blake: You think I care about grades?

Blake stood up from her bed.

Blake: People's lives are at stake!

I went up to Blake and put my hand on her shoulder.

(Y/N): We understand that Blake and everyone else here is trying to figure out too.

Ruby: Because of you and (Y/N), we know they're operating somewhere outside of southeast Vale.

Weiss: And, the Schnee company records singled out Vale as the primary target for Dust robberies over the last few months.

Yang: Don't forget about their missing military tech too.

Blake shook my hand off her shoulder.

Blake: But there's still unanswered questions!

Ruby: Blake, you won't be able to find anything if you can't even keep your eyes open!

Yang: We're asking you to take one day off and have some fun.

Weiss: The dance will be fun. Yang and I will make sure of it.

Yang: We are planning the whole thing after all.

Blake: Excuse me?

Yang: Team CFVY's mission is lasting longer than expected, so Weiss and I were asked to finish planning the dance.

Weiss: After the dance, we'll go back to investigation.

Ruby: What do you think?

Blake looked at everyone. She walked past me and went to the door.

Blake: I think this is a colossal waste of time. I'll be in the library.

She walked out the room and slammed the door closed. That could've gone better, way better.

(Y/N): Why doesn't she realize she's hurting herself over this?

Weiss: I think she does, but she just doesn't care.

Yang: I guess she'll do anything to figure everything out.

I walked to the door and opened it. I saw Jaune holding a guitar.

Jaune: Wei- (Y/N)?!

(Y/N): What's up with guitar?

Jaune: Is Weiss there? I need to ask her something.

I looked back at Weiss. She kept shaking her head no. I smiled at her and opened the door wide open.

(Y/N): She is.

Weiss: Why?!

I walked past Jaune and went down the hall.

Jaune: Thanks (Y/N)!

I waved at him. I laughed to myself.

(Y/N): Teasing my friends is fun.

I thought about what to do next. Blake did say she was going to the library. Maybe I can talk to her into going to the dance? Guess I won't know until I try it.
