"Hold the sausage hostage," Peri winked.

I cringed and interrupted the couples conversation. "Guys, do you know where Pearl went? We need to find her, right now!"

"She went off into the temple. She seems really pissed off and upset. She was all like, why must you always be so immature and blah blah blah."

"I'm sure there's more to the story than that," Lapis said with the same tone. "You guys stay on the lookout, there might be a gem meeting us."

Peridot and Amethyst both looked at each other before we ran into the temple. I flung the door open, hitting Steven in the face.

"Ah! Steven I'm so sorry!" I said, crouching near him. "Are you okay? I-I'm sorry I'm just in a hurry-"

"It's fine," he said, rubbing his forehead. "Why are you in a rush?"

"We need to find Pearl, we need to talk to her about something-"

"It'll be useless," Sapphire said from behind the counter, struggling to grab a cookie from the tray on top. "She'll just be all emotional and hide it all like she did about Pink Diamond," she finally grabbed the cookie and walked over to us, biting into it. "Where did you guys go for the past few days?" she said, her mouth full of cookie crumbs.

"Pearl and I just went somewhere and talked," I answered. "And I don't care if it's going to be useless, Pearl needs to know about Morganite. We didn't bubble her gem or anything and she could be coming for us."

"Morganite?" Sapphire cranked her neck. "Who is she?"

I ignored her and walked to the door behind the warp pad and knocked on it. "PEARL! I know you're in there! Come out!"

Sapphire counted to seven and when she got to zero Pearl opened the door. "What do you want?" Pear said, and Sapphire mouthed.

"I need to tell you something," I said watching Sapphire mimic me. "Morganite is on the loose, she was obsessive over Rose Quartz and everything! She was crazy and she could be coming for us! Lapis poofed her but we didn't bring her gem in case she reformed while we were coming back here, and neither of us could bubble her. But what I really want to know if what happened to you when Yellow zapped me! Do Blue and Yellow really hate me?"

Pearl had the same facial expression during my entire speech. She slowly blinked and shook her head. "They killed me too, and when I reformed they told me that you were sent back to the temple. But when I got here, you weren't here. But Blue and Yellow also told me Morganite wanted a few words with you? And of course they told me when I was already all the way over here!" she pushed her hair behind her ear and sighed. "Morganite wanted to do more than talk," she cringed. "Not in a weird way."

"Yeah, well, no. But yes? She wanted to keep me trapped in some library because she told me Blue and Yellow hated me. That Blue and Yellow were her only friends and that they wanted me shattered."

"Well," Pearl lowered her head. "Usually Pearls get jealous when a new Diamond arrives, especially if she's got some difficulties and needs extra work."

"Excuse me?"

"I mean that you came out wrong," she didn't need to say not in a mean way, we already spent so much time together at Rose's Fountain I knew what she meant. "Pearls love their Diamonds, they're programmed to. So when a new Diamond comes out, the other Diamonds need to watch over the new one, especially if they're too small or weak or anything. That means less attention to the Pearls, but- the Diamonds aren't here to give Blue and Yellow any attention at all. And why did the Diamonds leave? To keep you here to make you safe, and ordered their Pearls to watch after you too. They blame you for all of this I mean."

I sighed and looked over at Sapphire. "I thought you said this would be useless?"

"Well. It is. You didn't solve anything. And she is being emotional," Sapphire complained, then turned the room to ice. "DON'T BOTHER ME I'M ON MY GEM PERIOD!"

"Sorry I ran off like that," Lapis said as we sat down in the barn, it was raining.

I lifted my hand up. "So, are you doing this?"

She giggled. "No, it's Earth that does it. It's weird, it waters everything on Earth. The flowers, the plants, everything."

"Oh. For some reason I always thought it was you 'cause you were mad?" I guessed wrong. "How did you know I was with Morganite?"

Lapis cleared her throat and turned her head from me. "Just... a lucky guess?" then she pulled her knees up to her chest and sighed. "Do you think he'll be okay?"

"Who?"

"Steven."

"Oh. No."

"Really?"

"I mean, overtime yes. But now, no."

"I guess I think the same too."

We sat there for about fifteen minutes. The pouring rain was now a light drizzle. We were soaked, but it didn't matter, we've been through worse. Suddenly I felt something light press against my shoulder. I looked down and saw Lazuli leaning against my shoulder, he eyes were closed.

I wish I knew what she was feeling.

Sorry this chapter is very short, because it's a 'filler chapter' (like a filler episode).

So does anyone like what's going on with Purple Diamond and Lapis? Ship or skip???
