I got this AWESOME clay sculpture book with these amazing carving techniques, so I scrapped my old Indominus sculpture (it wasn't doing too well anyway) and am starting again! At the moment, this is basically a live presentation (since I am sitting at my desk making it right now) :) I'll repuplish this every time I update so you know when to come look. Here's what I've done so far:

(Sloppy) sketch:

Twisting the wire for the armature:

Armature of spine done (UGH THE LIGHTING IS HORRIBLE):

Adding the limbs and beginning the aluminum foil frame:

MORE CLAY

I'm FINALLY working on it again! Spoiler alert, I was working on this, the clay was wet so I wrappd it in plastic wrap to keep it wet, but I found it dried and cracked (it looked like the wrap had been blown open). SOOOOOO I started again, this time with a wooden plaque! Here's what it looked like when it cracked:

I've started on the head details! (And that front left forearm) I tried to change the background a bit :,)
