Only Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III, trainer of Dragons, son of Stoick the Vast, future heir of Berk, first to ride a dragon, killer of the red death, savior of Berk and the riders (countless times) only person to have ever come into close contact with the only Nightfury​, before dragon training. And...my crush... But he's way out of my league. He didn't use to be... But... Now he is.

"Because there would be to crazy people in this conversation and we wouldn't resolve anything." He said like the fact was obvious.

That stung. It really did. Ever since the Heather insident, even after he proceeded to carry me off to his hut, put me down on his bed and made out with me to show that he actually needed me and we slept together, he made himself a little.... Distant. And now he's gone to name calling...maby on accident but.

"Astrid. Let me talk to the twins. Please." He said placing a hand on my shoulder.

"Are you seriously​ going to leave me here with these two?" She asked me

She? Astrid Fearless Hofferson. First to ride a Natter. Strongest and boldest Hofferson of them all. Best Shield madien on Berk. A girl who was way out of my league. Always has been and always will be. Future Legs, Nut, or Lout most likely. Never a Haddock... Even though I want her to be...but agian, way out of my league.

"Astrid. Me and Snoutlout are the only ones with working​ Gronkle iron,and Meatlug is immune to the arrows." I said turning away from Toothless
"So? Let me saddle up Stormfly! I'll be there in a -"
"Astrid. No. I need you here. To protect the base. Protect the Dragon eye." I said handing it to her
"I can't believe this is actually happening. Seriously. This actually might be the worse day in history."

"Hiccup."

We stared at each other.  Not in the way I've always wanted, but more of a, if you don't give I swear way.

She groaned.
"Fine."

I sighed. I opened my mouth to say something.
"It's not like we woke up wanting to spend 24/7 with you either Astrid, but we shall do it. For the good.of.the.group." Tuff said talking slowly, to make sure she understood​.

The twins walked off to annoy Snoutlout.
"Astrid. Please." I said.

She just stared at me. Not moving. Not saying anything. I took her hands in mine.
"Astrid. You've got to see where I'm coming from here....I...I can't..." I whispered.
(Astird's POV)
"Can't ? Can't what?"
"I can't. I won't. I won't risk you getting hurt... Or worse...agian... Especially this time." He said.

I blinked.
"Hiccup..." I whispered hugging him.

He hugged back slowly. I know he didn't expect this hug. We pulled away.
"I'll stay. Only so you can do your job right." I said playfully punching him.

He laughed.
"Oh Astrid, I know these next few hours will be hard for you. Not being able to stare into these beautiful, but yet daring eyes." Snoutlout said taking my hands in his.
(Hiccup's POV)
I looked down as Snoutlout took Astrid's hands in his. As I said before, she's probably going to end up marrying him one day. She twisted him around, pinned his arms and pinned him against Hookfang.
"Ok...ugh... I...I'll miss u to..." He said as she released him.

She walked back over to me and smiled sadly.
"Be safe. Please." I said hugging her.
"I will be... It's not me you need to worry about. It's you who needs to be safe...." She whispered.
I pulled away and pushed hair out of her eyes.
"I will be." I said.

I pulled away and mounted Toothless.
"I'll be safe. I promise." I said.

We took off.
