I woke up and looked at my phone it was March 28 at 9 in the morning. I looked at Mike who of course was not moving and had not moved since I had been in the room. My phone vibrated again from Jack:

JACK: hey little dude you up yet?

Maddie: yep just got up

JACK: good me and your uncle and father went to go get breakfast for mcdonalds. Are pancakes okay?

MADDIE: sure and can I get sweet tea

JACK: sure little dude has Mike moved at all?

Maddie: nope, I talked to your daughter

JACK: I saw her this morning and Yami got in last night so when we get back you can see jim

MADDIE: yay can you tell him hi for me

JACK: sure little dude

I turned off my phone and then I heard a cough. I turned to see Mike staring at me.

"Mike?", I said but he did not respond. "Shake your head yes if you can hear me",.

Mike shook his head that he understood but said nothing.

"Mike do you know who I am?", I asked. Mike shook his head yes then no.

"You don't know who I am?", I said.

Mike just stared at me. This worried at me. I decided to pull up a photo of Mark and Jack(pic above).

"DO you know who this is?", I asked. Mike shook his head no. He was confused and I could see the confusion in his eyes. Then Dr. Shepherd walked in.

"Mike your alive? I mean your alive", Dr. Shepherd said.

"Doc, he isn't responding to my questions with words and says he cant remember who I am", I said.

"I can take of the oxygen mask and see if he says anything but for a couple days days he isn't gonna know anything about you or anyone", Dr. Shepard said with a sigh. "He is gonna be a blank slate for a while",.

The Doctor took off the oxygen masks and Mike just stared at me again.

"I have to go see another patient but your dad told me to tell you that he would be back in a few minutes...", The Doctor began but was interrupted by the door opening to Mikes room and in came Jack, Wade, and Mark carrying breakfast.

"Well speak of the devil  here he is...just hang out with Mike and see if he talks and if not come get", Dr Shepard said walking out. Now I waited for Mike to say something.
