"Go get in to some summer stuff it is burning out there", Jack said.
"Okay hold on a seconded", I said running to my room. I really did not know what to wear so I through on a blue t-shirt and a pair of shorts. I did not for get my lucky space converse.
I walked back out to where Jack was and he was on the phone "What do you mean we can't do it?!?", Jack said in to the phone.
"Why do you have to be closed on a Saturday?", Jack said again in to the phone."Fine be that way",. Jack hung up on the phone.
"What is going on?", I asked.
Jack had a sad puppy dog look on his face.
"Well what I planned on doing to day was to take you to a movie but apparently the place is closed on a Saturday, due to issues ",Jack explained.
"It's okay, we can find something to do, umm how about we..", I thought for a seconded.
"Do you want to go to the store and buy some stuff to make a cake?", Jack asked randomly.
"Yea it is better than no ideas at all", I said.
"Okay, come on let's go", Jack said walking towards the door.
"Okay", I said following. We walked to the elevator and went down to the first floor. We did not really talk till we got out side.
"So where is the store, Jack?", I asked.
"Well I don't have a car so we have to walk in that direction", Jack said .
"Cool", I replied. I did not mind the walking. We got on to the side walk and began to walk down the street.
"God it is hot out here", Jack said taking of his hat and using it as a fan.
"Yea", I agreed. That day the town was really busy. There were cars everywhere.
"There it is, Maddie", Jack said pointing over to a building.
"Okay", I took his hand and me and him walked a crossed the street into the store. The store was huge bigger than the one we had at my last foster home.
"Whoa, this is really big", Jack said.
"I agree, come on", I said dragging him with me down to the bakery near the entrance of the store. I looked at Jack. He looked like a kid who got the best Christmas present ever. The bakery smelled so good.
"I think to cake mix section is down there", Jack said. He began to walk over so I followed.
When i got over to the cake section with Jack, Jack had like 3 boxes of cake mix.
"Do you think this will be enough?", Jack asked. I giggled.
"Yea, perfect", I said grabbing some frosting for the cake of cakes.
"Great lets get out of here and make some cake", Jack said.
After we checked out at the cashier we went back to Marks apartment.
"Jack have you ever baked a cake before?", I asked him.
"Yea plenty of times", Jack replied. "Just grab all of the ingredients out of the fridge",.
I went over to the fridge and opened it. I grabbed eggs, milk, flour, and other ingredients.
I carried it over to the kitchen counter.
"Got the stuff Jack", I replied.
"Fine lets bake LIKE A BOSS", Jack said looking up at me.
"What should we do first, Boss?", I asked.
Soon we had eggs and cake mix and flour everywhere and we put it in to a pan and in to the oven. We then high fived. I looked at the time. 3:00.
"Jack when does Mark get home?", I asked.
"He is getting on a flight and will be back around 5ish", Jack said wiping sweat off of his face.
"I had a lot of fun baking with you Jack", I said.
"Good, I had fun too", Jack said.
I looked around and the place looked like a wreck.
"Clean up time", Jack said.
"Clean up time", I replied back.
