A Little Introduction, If You Will

Hello, my possible future-readers. Friends. Maybe family, I don't know. Please read this intro.

This book has been loitering in my brain for many months now. Ever since I got halfway through Princes of Ayodhya, I've been wanting to write something like this. The Ramayan has always had so many pivotal points, which, if changed, could have completely altered the entire story.

Also, I felt like I could write a lot more about Lakshman in this one.

Let's talk about how this will work.

Each chapter will be a separate What-If scenario, probably, maybe, kind of. Sometimes, I might continue a few parts in case I feel that they'd affect the story a lot (e.g. Lakshman's death). I could also explore many different possible scenarios for one event (e.g. Lakshman's death), such as different reactions, or, different ways it could have happened.

But most of the time, it will stick to this simple mathematical formula:

One Chapter = One What-if

I'm going to try to write the least amount of angst remotely possible, but for some chapters, it might be really hard for me to write humor (e.g. Lakshman's death). Besides, the Ramayan is a very angsty story in general, so while I'm trying to give everyone a happy ending, sometimes my sadistic part takes over and nothing is happy and everybody dies.

So prepare thyself for an unpredictable journey (e.g. Lakshman's death).

I'll take requests too, because Lakshman knows, my readers are 10x as creative as me. If you have any ideas, please put them in this chapter so I can keep track of them. pLeAsE.

This book also has a high chance of offending somebody, because tampering with a sacred tale can get very touchy sometimes. So please be careful when requesting, because I'm really not going to write any weird What-Ifs like non-canon relationships.

Please beware that all of this is within my own creativity and imagination. I will try my best to stick to the character descriptions in the original Ramayan! Let's all be respectful of them and fingers crossed that I don't make someone angry.

I think that's about it. Any feedback is always welcome to Mochi!

Thank you for reading this introduction. Thank you for reading this story!

May Lakshman be with you all. Sorry for the crappy cover, by the way. This was kind of impulsive.
