WHAT IS QURAN ?!

The Quran  literally meaning "the recitation"; also romanized as Qur'an or Koran is the central religious text of Islam,  muslims believe it to be a revelation  from God (Allah)] It is widely regarded as the finest work in classical Arabic literature.] The Quran is divided into chapters (surah in Arabic), which are then divided into verses (ayah).

 Muslims regard the Quran as the most important miracle of Muhammad, a proof of his prophethood, and the culmination of a series of divine messages that started with the messages revealed to Adam and ended with Muhammad. The word "Quran" occurs some 70 times in the text of the Quran, although different names and words are also said to be references to the Quran.

IMPORTANCE OF QURAN

The Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w) said, “Indeed Allah, through this Book, raises some peoples and lowers others.”

The Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w) said, “Whoever recites the Qur’an secures knowledge of prophethood within his ribs [bosom], though Divine Revelation is not sent upon him. It does not befit one endowed with the Qur’an that he should be indignant with those in anger, nor should he indulge in any act of ignorance with those who are ignorant, while the Speech of Allah is there in his chest.”

The Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w) said, “…Having doubt in the Qur’an is [kufr] disbelief….”

O Allah, make us of those who are the People of the Qur’an, who live by the Qur’an, call to the Qur’an, judge by the Qur’an and who recite it, learn it and ponder over it night and day. O Allah let the Qur’an be a Hujjah [proof] in our favour and not against us [ameen]
