Yes it seems that even after the last update on this remake back in October 2018, the Pumpkinhead Remake is still being planned. And with some news to finally come from it.

Now I know remakes and reboots are almost always looked down upon. Especially in the case of Horror icons. However, I think Pumpkinhead seems like the character who could use a remake. He's basically been dormant ever since the last SYFI film and had only one comic run. Plus:

*He's not as well known as Freddy, Jason or Michael. 

*We could see a higher budget film this time compared to the last two sequels that came from SYFY.

*Horror Fans who didn't know about him before can get another introduction to him.

And even if this film doesn't do well, it'll at least give the original film more attention.
