Ah! I have always wanted to talk about this. Loki! One of my favorite Marvel characters! Is he truly evil as he suppose to be, or is he actually being somewhat of a good guy?

I am going to show you different situations of evilness or goodness.

SPOILER ALERT

Evilness: Killing the Frost Giants

He did kill the Frost Giants, which Thor was abour to do anyway (as I researched).
Though I may count this part some evil but some good.

Good: He Helps out Thor

In the second Thor movie he turns good guy!!! He is released out of his cage and finally has some contact to the outside world. He was no longer a caged animal. He was really helpful in his own way. Even "dieing".

Evil: Almost Destroying NYC

Ok, not the best moment for Loki. He, in the Avengers movie, tried to take over the world and destroy NYC. He was basically really mad at the fact in Thor he basically told that he would never have the throne in Asgard. He wanted that throne, unlike his adopted brother, Thor. So, this was basically his way to "blow off some steam".

Now let's show some situations that happened to Loki.

Disownment:
He was taken in as a baby by Odin after being disowned by his biological father. Yet in Thor, Odin basically disowned him after he told Loki that he was a frost giant and that he will never take the throne. Loki doesn't really have anyone that loves him, except his adoptive mother.

Imprisonment:
He was put into a white prison room, all by himself. He was basically driven crazy with lack of any compassion from others, and contact with others. He was seen as a criminal. His brother and father both  didn't really show much sympathy for Loki. So Loki had to placed in a cell, basically drive himself insane. The horrible part is when he finds out, in his cell, his adoptive mother was killed, that broke him. He did really care. He wouldn't have been broken if he didn't care. That was basically the only one that really loved him.

Now let's talk about Loki's Characteristics

Level headed:

He does understand how things work and thinks about what he does before doing things. He is not really irrational.

Intelligence:
He does have a brilliant mind. He thinks things through and knows how to execute a plan.

Authoritative:

"Kneel!!" Is what he says! He likes to be an authority figure. He really wants to be the king of Asgard. But... Odin doesn't want him on the throne.

Compassion:

He does have some love in that heart of his. He cried when his adoptive mother died, it broke him. He must have had some love in his heart.

So, with all of this evidence, what do you think? Is Loki evil or good?
