"Hurry up Solaris!" A girl whines, her wavy pale blond hair falling to her hips, she currently has her arms straight out to both sides and was walking in a straight line as though she was on a tight rope. "Your so slow" she groans, glancing back at her twin brother, his green eyes dull as he stared at the ground in front of him while he walked. He had the same pale blonde hair as his sister only his hair was just long enough to cover his ears and several pieces stuck up near the center at the top of his head.

"If you tried even once to not be so embarrassing then maybe I would actually walk with you Selena" Solaris replies, though he was struggling to not laugh at his sisters antics. He speeds up slightly to catch his sibling, though they were both bare foot the stone covered path didn't even bother them as they walked. "Why are we in such a hurry?" He asks "and you still haven't told me where we're going".

"Well of course I haven't silly. It's a secret!" Selena giggles. Turning around to face her brother, walking backwards now "if it wasn't a secret then it wouldn't be so much fun" she says. "Hey! Can we play a game?!" She asks suddenly.

"What kind of game?" Solaris asks wearily, keeping his eyes glued to the ground, watching even the smallest signs of life as they pass it by. The weeds that grow up from between stones, the nice green grass, even the few bugs that crawled or flew past. He was fascinated by all the life that surrounded him.

"A question game!" Selena decides "what's your favorite thing?" She asks

"This" Solaris says quietly as he stops, reaching down, he plucks a blade from a piece of grass and holds it up for his twin to see.

"A piece of grass is your favorite thing?" Selena asks, giggling a little.

"Not the grass itself, what it means" Solaris explains as he looks at the blade.

"And what's it mean?" Selena asks, curious of her brothers answer.

"Life" Solaris says simply, he looks up from the grass to look at his sister "and what all living things fear" he tells her.

"Death" Selena guesses and then laughs.

Solaris watches his sister, confused "what is so funny about death? It follows us wherever we go. It's the one thing that all creatures fear but also the one thing all creatures expect."

"It's not that death itself is funny" Selena corrects "what's funny is that you think life should fear death. It isn't that it fears death, death is inevitable. What life fears is that life itself is quick and the fear is that you will never be able to live it to its fullest" She tells him.

"You act like you know the meaning of life" Solaris mutters.

"I do" Selena giggles "the meaning is that each living being finds there own meaning to be alive" she smiles.

"That's easy for you to say, your not cursed" Solaris grumbles.

"Not cursed to bring death like you are, I think my curse is that I have to deal with you" Selena sticks her tongue out childishly at her brother.

"You go from being an all wise teller to a child" Solaris scolds. "Make up your mind, your giving me a headache" he says, dropping the piece of grass "its my turn to ask you a question" he says, looking down at the ground. His hair falling into his face to cover his eyes. "Do you fear me?" He asks, not looking up to meet his sisters gaze.

"All creatures fear every other living being around" Selena says "but no, I could never fear you. You might bring death on purpose or on accident but it won't ever matter. Your my brother and I could never be afraid of you" she promises, walking over to her brother and wrapping her arms around him in a hug.

"Thanks Selena..." Solaris murmurs as he lifts his head to look at her. He gives a small smile and then chuckles slightly "drop the illusion, you know I can sense these things" he says "especially after you tried to scare me with a town burning down when we were kids" He crosses his arms.

"Your no fun" Selena pouts and let's go of him, turning her back on him to look ahead, the air in front of them shimmering, buildings appearing on each side of them, the path in front of them opening up to a larger paved pathway.

"You know what happened last time I was in a town" Solaris reminds his sister as he looks out at the buildings.

"It won't happen this time" Selena promises and takes her brothers hand, stepping onto the nicely cut stone "your going to love this" she promises as she lead him into the depths of the town.
