Horror is my favorite genre in anime so I made this list. I suggest you watch at least one of these titles.

10.Serial Experiments Lain

This is an oldie but goodie. It shows us the dark side of technology, making us wonder what is real and what is fake. This show gave me chills. It can be hard to understand but its worth the watch.

9. Deadman Wonderland

Deadman Wonderland gives an unsettling vibe with each episode contained with crazy characters and lots of blood. Its like watching the anime version of hell.

8. Elfen Lied

This show has a great storyline with disturbing characters. It is a show full of shock as well as tragedy. This is a very mature show though. Just a warning.

7.Tokyo Ghoul

Great characters, badass animation, and lots of blood. Tokyo Ghoul captivates you instantly. It shows that we are all monsters, whether human or ghoul.

6.Another

Another is a strange school mystery full of death and suspense. Complimented with great gore and suspicion this is one thriller you won't forget.

6. Blood C

This show has gore, everywhere. Along with a cool protagonist, awesome monsters, and a huge plot twist, this show shines with utter darkness.

5. Future Diary

Famous for bloody action, intriguing story, and the crazy yandere known as Yuno, Future Diary is a creepy as well as action packed that you will love.

4. Hellsing Ultimate

One word can easily be describe this show, badass. You love gore, check!! Scary looking characters, check. Amazing animation, check. Enough said.

3. Danganronpa

This show is fucked up. Insane plot twists, crazy characters, blood of course, and despair with a bit of hope. If you have never watched it, I highly recommend that you do.

2.Corpse Party

This show has a cute, murderous, little ghost girl. Don't ever do the sachiko charm game, trust me. With this show being so short it lacks one or two things but makes up for it with intense gore and betrayal.

1. Higurashi no naku koro ni

Creepy as hell!! Brings you in peaceful like the brings you gore and creepiness at the perfect moments. As you watch it confuses but everything is explained with a great conclusion. A true horror masterpiece and classic. One more thing, best insane laughter ever.
