it's called "bao" like the dumpling and oMG I LOVED IT SO MUCH ( i also cried so much oops )

REASONS WHY DALVIE LOVED IT ( LIKE A LOT )

- THE BEAUTIFUL ASIAN CULTURAL REPRESENTATION!!!!!!!! from the food to the portrayal of the characters to like the decorations of the house! ARGH! it was all so beautiful!!!

- the storyline was absolutely GORGEOUS! i'm not going to spoil it, but it talks about an asian mother and her relationship with her child, which is some pretty deep stuff ajkckalflwl

- the symbolism was amazing! omg i never knew a dumpling could mean so much! 😭😍

- it was created by an asian american woman ( an ABC specifically ) and has been in the works since 2014!! MINORITY WOMAN WOOOO!!! she aimed for it to be like a chinese folktale, and i will say she definitely succeeded

- it is animation, and now plays in hundreds of theatres everywhere. asian culture is now being shown accurately and beautifully everywhere. and it doesn't even matter if you are asian because the storyline relates to everyone. that is so so amazing, and that really brings me to cry.
