ok so we saw like the part when they first see each other like "true beauty" and "pilgrims lips" and etc etc etC

and the 60's version was omg so cringe because shES LIKE 13 AND HE BE GIVIN HER HICKEYS AHHHHHHHHHHH *dalvie dies inside*

so we watched the beginning scene with the fight between the caps and monts and oMG I HAVENT LAUGHED SO. FRICKING. HARD. IN. MONTHS. HOLY AIFHLSHJCHLN

ok so basically if you haven't seen it, the director is a freaking GENIUS

he sets the movie in like modern times (aka 90s) verona / florida / mexico / texas / idk it gave me miami vibes BUT they use the same lines from the original play and omg i was actually crying laughing holy crap it was so good

and ok ill be honest - a lot of people don't likee it cuz its loki cringe and super cheesy

BUT I LOVE IT SO MUCH FAJDOJFIAF

THE BEGINNING SCENE IS LIKE THIS WHOLE INTENSE GAS STATION SHOOT OUT BUT THEY ARE LIKE SCREAMING AND YELLING "DO YOU BITE YOUR THUMB AT ME SIR" "YES SIR I BITE MY TONGUE" "HOLD YOU PEACE" "PEACE, I KNOW NOT" "AHHHHHH *shoot shoot pew pew pew*"
