Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology is one of the Tales Series Crossover they have made first the involves you creating your own character and experience firsthand the world of Terresia with some of the Tales characters we all know and love.

Plot
- You totally got a story yourself to do. A legend in fact. A story resolving you being created by a humongous tree, (Yeah, called the World Tree) that is filled with mana to save the world with a series of battles by ending a man named Widdershin from sapping its mana to preserve his own world. Yup, pretty much that's how the summary is. I'd say it's a good story that is filled of knights, archers, etc. to fight off divinity. While you have a main plot, you can subside by talking with others and get some mini skits along the way in and out of the dungeon. Not to forget, there's one quest you can do with Raine that lets you learn a certain information.

Characters
- Do I really have to say? Probably. I mean we've got some of the cast of the characters from the Tales Series. From Lloyd of Tales of Symphonia to Luke of Tales of Abyss. Who wouldn't be happy enough to see and read those simple short skits? Not to mention, whether you played the English or Japanese version, you get to hear from the exact VA that casted them to your heart's content. Moreover, aside from the fangirling, the Tales Series always have their original characters. For Radiant Mythology, we've got our loyal partner (*cough* pet *cough* kidding) Mormo (though you don't really do much Mormo but fly beside me wherever we go...any chance you tried carrying my character when I die?) and one of the best girls, the amnesiac Magic Knight (Hell, this girl packs a punch when the quest of finding her) Kannono Pasca. You'll find yourself wanting to protect this strong girl and getting the chance to converse with her from time to time makes it all the better to soothe your heart.

Gameplay
- Radiant Mythology's mechanic is the same for most Tales Series, you get to craft and build materials for your adventures, battle those common mobs with the same skills the Tales series used and so on. Fun part is you get to add the Tales characters to your party depending on your bond level with them. The more you gain popularity and bonding thanks to the amount of quest you make, they'll be eager to hop in and give out a hand. Speaking of quest, you get to do side jobs (as always), and get rewards. Added, you get to play in different classes to your heart's content. Aim for those raidiant armor quest, damn they look so freaking cool on you.

Pros
- It's worth the time to play even if you aren't familiar with the Tales universe. Honestly was the first anime PSP game I played and you wouldn't have to worry who or what is going on that the cast itself would gladly guide you if you get lost.

(Nicholas: But there's a freaking walkthrough!

Paige: There is NO walkthrough in life.

You're getting yourself too affected because of the Games.

Let's get back to the main point)

Speaking of getting lost, rather than the usual 2D view when in the dungeon, the camera moves on to a 3D Perspective that let's you stare at good graphics without fail. Adding, if you aren't fluent in Japanese, the first Radiant Games is the only was with a translated English version. (Though maybe it's a bit of a con for the latter since they didn't translate Radiant Mythology 2 and 3?)

Cons
- As much as I like the game (a lot), there's definitely going to be something that contrast to it. Slightly. Sure I meant the 3D perspective was nice for dungeon map. But personally I like to prefer the 3D view wherein you can roam around in the map itself, (before you head to the dungeon, that's one is different) even getting caught grinding for EXP by killing monsters would be nice. Sadly not. Sure when you finished the story, you would be able to access the difficulty hard but that's pretty much it. No New Game+. Just the same story all over even if it was on the hard difficulty. (Then again, you get to keep your stuffs but eh, not enough)

Overall
- Total recommendation for you to play it. Not sure if there is still stocks of the game, and surely it would be nice to help by paying the game itself to contribute to the makers, but if you're low on budget and all, just download an emulator and the game itself and you're ready to go.
