So it's recently been brought to my attention that this website/group called 4Chan, apparently plans to hack a bunch of Wattpad and Instagram accounts on July 20th and post very inappropriate content on the accounts profiles.

They apparently want to "get rid of all fandoms" by the end of the year.

I've never heard of this until literally 10 minutes ago and I am so confused because I don't know anything about it.

I've never even heard of this "4Chan".

So I did some research and apparently it's bad. Very bad.

4Chan did something similar back on Tumblr in 2013? 2014? One of the two, but they were sending horrible and nasty comments and messages to a ton of people, trying to convince them to kill themselves.

Do you realize how scary that is?!

What kind of insecure, low life pigs would find amusement and entertainment by doing this?!

This war between the two websites still goes on to this day, but there's very little activity nowadays on Tumblr.

But that news has spread that they are apparently going to attack Wattpad, I want anyone and everyone reading this to be absolute careful and cautious when that time comes around.

If you have a Tumblr account, I suggest shutting off your "asks and submissions" tool to keep those creeps from possibly trying to send you those messages and viruses (they apparently do that too).

For Instagram, keep your profile private so nobody that's not following you can see the pictures you posted, and maybe disable private messaging if you can?

As for Wattpad, keep a sharp eye out for any updates or messages to follows that seem very out of the ordinary to you.

Change your password if you feel like it's absolutely required. I'm going to wait a while until the actual day is near to possibly change it.

But anyways, from now until July 20th, please be careful everyone!
