Quick poll time!

Someone commented on my Disney Facts book claiming that Hades from the movie Hercules wasn't a villain and shouldn't be classified as one, JUST because he's the god of the underworld.

Okay, here's the thing though.

The writers made Hades the antagonist of the film/story.

What does that mean?

That's suppose to mean that they are the bad guy of the story. The opposite to the antagonist.

Now since Hades doesn't like Hercules that much, and has plotted and attempted to kill Hercules, that makes him the antagonist of the story.

Ergo, classifying him as the villain.

I should know this, since I am taking a Children's Literature in College :P

Me personally? Hades is a villain, 100%.

But what do you guys think?
