So...

You all know my story "Code of Loyalty"?

I have recently discovered that apparently one of my followers has started a story recently where practically word for word (except the characters and tiny bits have been added in) the ending of chapter 2 to chapter 4 of my book has been copied from MY WORK to her book!

Since on Wattpad you can't really copy and paste a published work, this person literally retyped everything from those chapters of MY STORY, word for word (except she forgot to space some sentences) and basically published it as her own.

This is NOT okay.

Plagiarism is ILLEGAL.

You can get into serious trouble with this.

If you happen to stumble upon said user and know who they are, and figure out what their said story is, compare what they have so far to the chapters I've mentioned above and you'll see how SIMILAR AND IDENTICAL they are.

It's been nitpicking at my head for most of the afternoon, I could barely pay attention to my class lecture.

Due to my new life schedule because of my college hours, I haven't been able to reach out to this follower to talk to her about this issue, but I plan to.

However if said user happens to stumble upon this rant, I ask you in the nicest way possible;

Please DO NOT PLAGIARIZE my and/or other people's work. Doing so ruins all of the hard work and sweat myself and other have put into our OWN stories. Our OWN ideas.

I won't go so far as to ask you to delete the story. I don't want to be mean or cruel like that. However if possible, could you change up the story so it doesn't sound EXACTLY what I have written, and actually make it an original?

That would be great.

I'm not trying to be cruel, I'm not trying to hurt anyone's feelings, but that's the 100% truth and how I feel.

PLEASE take this into consideration.

Since Wattpad apparently doesn't have an option to report a story/user for plagiarism, now might be a good idea to get on that.
