None of you will probably get this because it's from a Transformers anime from 2006 (but I watch it cuz I'm a nerd), but this is a rant about a Gary Stu.

What anime is complete without the common cutesy-kawaii character? The kid out of adults who is completely innocent. Kawaii! Omg we love them, don't we?

I don't recall what his age actually is or if it was mentioned, but I assume he's in the 9-10 area, while his brother and his brother's love interest (I think?) seem to be 16. And of course there's Optimus Prime and Jetfire and Landmine, Leobreaker, all those people.

And of course, the youngest, kawaii-est, and the Gary Stu is standing in the background, pretending to be cool while his brother and girlfriend are arguing.

I've rewatched about half the series, and so far Bud hasn't made a single fault. I mean, yeah he went into space with Scattershot without Optimus' permission, but he wasn't punished at all for it because "oh no he was running out of air". The way I see it, he should have gotten a good scolding from Prime or Jetfire because he convinced Jolt to convince Scattershot to go against Optimus Prime's orders, to disobey his leader, just to bring an arrogant 10-year old barely outside the atmosphere. He didn't get punished.

None of the other characters are Gary Stu's either. Not even Optimus Prime! Bud's brother, Coby, snuck to Speed Planet to help out to get one of the Cyberplanet Keys. He had a good intention to go against Optimus' orders, unlike his younger sibling. And even though he was one of the critical reasons that the Autobots got the Speed Planet Key, Hotshot later says, "That was pretty low, Coby."

And his girlfriend, Lori (my name by the way XD coincidence? NO I THINK THAT EVEN WHEN I WAS 5 I WAS SO AMAZING THEY NAMED AN ANIME CHARACTER AFTER ME) was partially shunned as well for being demanding. And what is Bud shunned for? NOTHING. LIKE OMG HIS GARY STUNESS IS OFF THE FRICKN CHARTS
