Oh my god.

Okay so basically I go to this magnet school that you have to try out to get into, right, and instead of only kids from the same county as the school being allowed to attend, since that's not really fair to really smart kids in neighboring counties, my school accepts students from four different counties. So our school is made up from kids that can live up to two hours apart from each other. (Makes group projects hell, but that's not the point.)

Obviously, these four counties can have CRAZY DIFFERENT WEATHER.

So their counties can close schools because of snow, and they get excused absences and don't have to come to school, because they don't have buses. (I mean we're all nerds here so a lot of them come anyway because their parents drop them.)

But our school only closes if the county that IT is in closes schools. Meaning, students who don't show up because their county is closed end up missing classwork and stuff. That's why they come anyway.

The thing is, I live in the same county as my school.

AND YOU KNOW WHAT???

ABOUT AN HOUR AGO, THE ANNOUNCEMENT WENT OUT THAT THE FIRST COUNTY CLOSED.

AND ONLY A FEW MINUTES AGO, THE SECOND ONE DID TOO.

THE THIRD COUNTY IS THE FARTHEST AND LEAST LIKELY TO CLOSE BUT ALSO HAS THE LEAST STUDENTS ATTENDING SO NO ONE CARES.

WHAT I CARE ABOUT IS THAT IT IS SNOWING IN MULTIPLE PARTS OF MY COUNTY ALREADY, AND SCHOOLS HAVE NOT YET BEEN CLOSED LIKE WTF IS THIS.

LIKE GODDAMMIT FRIGGING DONALD TRUMP PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES (still enraged about that election) HAS TWEETED ABOUT PREPARING FOR THE INCOMING WINTER STORM.

YET OUR COUNTY, SO CLOSE TO DC, CANNOT PREPARE TOO BY CLOSING SCHOOLS????

LIKE COME ON THEYRE PREPARING FOR A HUGE STORM OVER IN DC AND SO MANY COUNTIES IN MARYLAND AND STUFF HAVE CLOSED AND BASICALLY EVERYONE AROUND US EXCEPT FOR MY COUNTY AND THE FAR AWAY ONE NO ONE CARES ABOUT.

JUST CLOSE THE SCHOOLS ALREADY OH MY GOD

(lol sorry for the all caps im just really frustrated because already like a third of my math class gets to skip the math test and it's nOT FAIR)

(also I really want to get out an update of The Gifted tomorrow, I feel guilty as hell for not updating recently even though there's no way I could have found the time to do so)
