Everyone is part of a fandom. Wether it be Doctor Who, The Walking Dead, My Little Pony, Markiplier, or Star Trek, everybody has a spot in at least one fandom.

Fandoms provide a way to find others with similar interests as you, such as Doctor Who, for example. A large group of geeks hanging out in their part of the Internet. It's a great thing!

Most of the time.

It isn't all Dalleks and Lightsabers, because there are always others who try to put you down for liking what you like.

One of the biggest examples is the hatred I see between Bronies and "Anti-Bronies" in comment sections/forums.

I swear I've seen religion debates less vicious than that.

And it isn't just the MLP fandom, every fandom has it's haters. Some may have more than others, but every fandom has them.

The thing that really ticks me off is the fact that the members of the fandom being criticized throw the hatred back at those hating on them. THAT ISN'T GOING TO CONVINCE PEOPLE THAT YOUR GROUP IS GOOD! IT'L MAKE THEM THINK THAT YOU AND YOUR FELLOW FANS ARE JERKS.

This needs to stop, before every part of the Internet is engulfed in "My fandom is better than yours!" comment wars.
