The next day

Annika got up to find him getting ready in front of the mirror and that is when she realized that the time was already 7.30 am.

A-(thinking)will he speak with me now ,is he still angry with me?(he took his bag and went out).Did I hurt him very much,oh God whatever I said was for his goodness.I didn't say anything wrong yesterday...maybe I should have spoken kindly.Shall I try speaking with him....no no,let him .

On the other side shivaay was having his breakfast,

S-(thinking)Is she angry with me till now,whatever it is God ,even if she's angry make her speak with me atleast for scolding me.I cannot tolerate this silence from her.

Pinky-shivaay(loudly)

S-haa haan...

P-what are you thinking?

S-kuch nahi mom(he continued eating)

Then ,after sometime annika came to the dining hall

Rudy-good morning bhaabi .

A-Good morning Rudy.

She came and sat beside Rudy.

R-bhaabi?is there any problem between you and baiya?(whispering silently)

A- how did you know?( he smirked) yes(defeated look) ...and you know what,he's not even talking with me.I think he's happy without talking with me.

R-no bhaabi,you should have noticed him.He's eating the same roti for past 1 hr,and when he heard your voice now his eyes were stuck only on you.He's missing you bhaabi.

A-do you think so?

R- look at him,(annika instantly looked at shivaay to find him already looking at her,noticing this he immediately bent down)isn't it obvious?

A-all this is fine.Now I'm ready to talk to him but he's ignoring me.(cutely)

R-ok, let's put an end to this.First tell me who was at fault?

A-hmm...first me,then shivaay then...me ,no no not me .

R-confusing yaar,leave it .So both of you have done something, nothing's wrong in asking sorry bhaabi.

A-acha,teek hai.Mein hi bol dethi hoon.(nodding)

R-that's my bhaabi.

P-annika?Rudy?,abhi tak tum dono ki plates fulls hai.

A/R- kuch nahi mummy/choti maa

They both silently finished their breakfast.

Annika thought of speaking with him in bus but she found him to be settled with Om.So she dropped her plan.

During lunch break in canteen

S-hi gauri.

G-hey hi.

Shivaay's eyes searched for her but soon realized that she was not there.

G-Annika has gone to the library.

He didn't react .

G- she was very upset from morning ,is there any problem shivaay?

S- As if you don't know ,she's your bestie right.You would have known by this time.

G-yeah, she told me.But seriously shivaay,there's actually nothing big to fight and ignore each other for that matter.

S- koi fight weight nahi gauri,just a small misunderstanding.

G-then baath karo na usse.I can clearly see that she's getting mad ,feeling your ignorance towards her.

S-sach?(he asked curiously)

G-why would I lie.

A smile crept in shivaay's face ,realizing that she  is missing him.

G- she even told how adventurously you both saved the couple yesterday.

S-how can you girls just talk so much during class ,we guys struggle to speak and finally we even get caught by the faculty but you all are just amazing (raising his eyebrows)

G- thank you.

Then something striked his mind suddenly

S- gauri ,shall I ask you something?

G-ofcourse.

S- still I don't know why she behaved like that when we were hiding,apparently she was giving signal to that man when she clearly knew we were hiding .

G- obviously, she did it to stop the couple from eloping (she said casually)

S-that's what I'm asking ...why?why she's like this ?why she hates love?

G- no no...it's not that she hates love,but it's just that she doesn't believe in love.

S-kyun?(eagerly)

G-(smiling)Madhumitha.

S-Madhu...kaun hai vo?

G-annika ki didi.

S-you mean aju ki mom.

She nodded.

Flashback:Gauri is telling to shivaay

Annika's world was small yet a happy one ,with her parents and her beloved sister.Everything was perfect in her life until daksh happened.Madhumitha was studying 1st year in college and annika was in her 10th standard ,that is when daksh entered into their lives claiming that he loves madhu. Madhu being a very innocent soul,believed him and fell into his trap.

When annika's father came to know about this he strictly warned daksh .But daksh didn't stop with it,he somehow convinced madhu and they both eloped and married which was a huge shock to annika's family.The problem didn't stop with that,after three months to their marriage madhu met with an accident and she lost her mental stability.Knowing this daksh left madhu in the same state and went away.

After that Madhu was taken care by her family and that is when they found out that she was pregnant.But madhu's state was worst ,like she was not even aware that there was a life growing in her.She used to wake up in nights and ask for daksh,leaving everyone extremely sad.Witnessing all this in a very young age, one thing was engraved in annika's mind,that love was something which was never true rather it was just an illusion like a token for lust.Watching her sister cry everyday she decided that there would be no space for love in her life .

(Madhu died during her delivery)

G- You know what shivaay ,annika isn't at fault,what would have been your thoughts if you were in annika's situation shivaay?

S-I understand gauri.

Listening to everything, shivaay was determined to change annika with his love.Make her belive in love.

S-(thinking)I love you annika, I love you...Whatever would have happened in your past,but mein promise kartha hoon ki aapka future ....mere saath....ham dono ek saath...(chuckling)I don't know what to say annika ,but I'm sure ... mein aapko bahut kush rakhoonga.

His trail of thoughts were broken when ...

A- sorry gauri(taking her seat beside gauri),I'm late .It took half an hour to search this book.

When her eyes fell on shivaay she immediately looked down.And to her providence,the bell rang.

A- shit...chalo gauri let's go to the class.
(She was about to get up)

S-annika,first have your lunch.(insisting)

Annika just froze that second as her ears were not able to believe what they just heard ,did?did shivaay actually speak with her?She slowly looked at him.

A-hmmm?

S-I said have your lunch and then come to the class.(he orderd)Gauri make sure she eats.(he went )

A- ho hooo(pulling out gauri's cheecks)finally the silence is broken .Baiya ,(loudly)ek plate biriyani and don't forget the leg piece. (while gauri just smiled watching her crazy friend)

In class

Annika and shivaay were sitting next to each other ,both of them were dying to start the conversation but the idiotic lecturer was  looking only at them every now and then to their displeasure. But instantly both got an idea and simultaneously, they took a bit of paper and wrote "I'm sorry😔".When the faculty turned towards the board ,annika kept the chit towards him while he did the same simultaneously to her surprise.

They both curiously took the paper and opened it,and immediately a wide smile occupied their face watching the message and both looked at each other the next moment.

A/S- I'm sorry (they admitted simultaneously and chuckled)

A-tho ...you won't fight unnecessarily right?(she whispered)

S- unnecessarily ?(shocked) vo sab aapke liye tha annika,it was for you(he blurted out)

Instantly she looked at him and fixed her eyes with his's maintaining the cute eyelock which was spoiled the very next moment.

Professor- shivaay and annika(angrily)

They both realized it and stood up with innocent faces.

P-come ... anyone of you come and solve the sum common.

A-shivaay...do you know how to solve this (she slightly leaned towards him and asked him silently covering her mouth with an handkerchief)

S-ji ,I know.

A- I'll kill you if you move towards the board and solve it,I know nothing  about this sum.Just stay quite and stand with me.

S-hmm(he nodded)

P-what  you both are doing ?standing like pillars ...Do you know or not?

Immediately the bell rang ,bringing a huge relief to them .

A-thank God.(sighing)

P-you can't escape,you both have  imposition , write this sum 20 times ,orelse I won't allow you both to enter my class tommorow. (Saying this he went)

A- Thank you wapass god (she said being irritated while shivaay stood adoring her cuteness)

I don't need paradise because I found you,I don't need dreams because I already have you💞
