A/N If I don't say whos POV it is in the title or in the chapter that means it is Amy's POV but this is Ellie's POV for a chapter

As we get out of the car and thank my dad for the ride, I watch Amy closely. Something about her changed in the last week. She hasn't taken her hood off, one of her nervous habits disappeared, she started wearing contacts, she somehow got even thinner, and all the confidence we have been trying to build up disappeared.

Add that to the things from today. Her story had plenty of holes in it, she has been declining chocolate, and I swear the ears on her hood keep twitching. Plus I think I smelled her scent in the hospital somehow. Werewolves can identify people by their scent and that scent never changes. Amy's scent is like salted caramel, flowers, and contact solution. I think the same combination was coming from the room next to mine in the ultima ward, but that is impossible.

My plan on finding out what is going on with Amy:

Step 1: Get her to agree to come with me to the mall alone CHECK

Step 2: Convince my dad to drive us CHECK

Step 3: Buy Starbucks

Step 4: Questions!

Step 5: Be the first one to take her to hot topic (This is just me being petty)

Step 6: More shopping?

Mission Complete

Hopefully, my foolproof plan works. "Hey, Amy! Did you hear that Starbucks made the first-ever chocolate substitute for werewolves? I hear they are putting a discount on all items with the substitute! They even brought back Salted Caramel mochas for the occasion!" Amy perks up at the mention of her favorite drink. "What are we waiting for? Let's go get the mochas!" She starts to run towards Starbucks. There's the old Amy. The fun, sweet, happy Amy who isn't so worried or self-conscious. I am going to figure out what is wrong and bring that Amy back for good whether she likes it or not!

As we run, I notice something else new. Amy got faster and more agile over the week. What happened that caused so many changes? I think I am the only one of our friends who can outrun her now and that is only because I am a werewolf.

As I stand in line, I spot her staring at the muffins from a table. We agreed I buy us Starbucks if she would come with me to hot topic. Everything looks so good. "Two Werewolf Salted Caramel Mochas, three blueberry muffins, and two werewolf chocolate croissants please." The lady working the register types it into the computer. "That will be 10$ please." I hand her the money, take the receipt, and sit down with Amy.

"I can't believe how cheap our order was! Sorry if you don't end up liking werewolf chocolate since I kinda ordered that instead of the normal kind because it was easier and cheaper." Amy assures me that its fine before I go collect our order. "Here we go! I got you a Werewolf Salted Caramel mocha, two blueberry muffins because I know how much you like blueberry muffins and a werewolf chocolate croissant. I know it a lot but you need to eat more. Somehow you got even thinner when you were in the hospital for whatever you were in there for." "Thanks Ellie. I appreciate you guys looking out for me. This all looks delicious." She bites into he croissant and her eyes widen. "Ellie! You HAVE to try this! This werewolf chocolate substitute is delicious!" I take a bite. She was right this is good!

Ok enough stalling, time to ask her. "Amy?" She looks up from her mocha. "Huh?" "Is everything alright Amy? You have been acting weird today." I spot the fake ears on her jacket twitch again. HOW DO THEY KEEP DOING THAT?!?! "W-What do y-you mean E-Ellie? Everything i-is fine." Stuttering. Something is definitely up. "You have been declining chocolate, you got thinner and more athletic at the same time, you haven't taken your hood off once today, You suddenly switched to contacts for no reason, and one of your nervous habits disappeared along with all your self-confidence. I know something is up." Amy has gotten progressively paler with every fact I listed.

Amy sighs. "Ok, something is up. But I wasn't lying when I said everything was fine. Something changed and I don't want anyone to treat me differently because of it. If I show you, do you promise not to tell anyone else? There is only one week of school left and I want to surprise them on pool day." Our school brings everyone to this big pool near our school on the last day of school. But what secret could she reveal on pool day? "Amy, I promise I will keep your secret."

"Ok. I'm trusting you, Ellie. The truth is I was closer to you in the hospital than you think." Huh? What does she mean by that? She pulls off her hood and under it I see... Two fluffy werewolf ears. No wonder the ears on her jacket kept twitching! She gently pulls her tail out from under her shirt. "I was in the room next to yours." Everything makes sense now! The hood, the contacts, her scent, everything. She was the werewolf in the room next to mine this whole time!
