At night in annika's room

Annika was writing something while shivaay was working on his laptop.

A- shivaay?

S- hmm.

A- when will you get married?

S-I think someone's eagerly waiting for my marriage.

A- ofcourse what do you think ,it's my billuji's marriage.

S- what is so exciting in my marriage?

A- I'll wear a beautiful lehenga and click thousands of pics(she said dreamily)

S- are you serious annika,ek lehenga ke liye (he nodded in disbelief)

A- not only that,mrinali is actually perfect for you.I don't know why you are so stubborn. Remember one thing shivaay ,if you still postponed your marriage ,you will become an oldie budhu and finally no one is going to marry you.

S- hmm(nearing her and wounding his arm around her neck)in that case,I will have an option.

A- what?

S- I---will---marry----my----paanika-----(he shouted near her ears)

A- haan ,I won't be waiting for you Mr.Shivaay.By that time,I would have already got married.(pulling his cheecks)
And moreover ,I will never accept to marry an oooooooold man.

S- oi,don't forget that I'm only 3 years elder than you .Not 10 or 20 years.(he argued cutely)

A- ek minute!!!!(she stood realizing something)

S- what happened annika?

A- idiot,(she punched his chest)

S- ahhh,annika?first tell me what's the matter aahh(trying to defend himself)

A- It's our birthday shivaay.(she said insisting it)

(Shivika's birthday is on the same day.Every year they  celebrate it together)

And the next second shivaay's face froze in shock.How did he forget this?

Just then pinky entered the room with dinner.

A- aunty,it's our birthday after two days but this idiot has totally forgot  it(she complained)

S- even you forgot it right.

A- hello...for your kind information it was me who remembered it now. Aunty dekiyena.

But pinky was lost in her thoughts.

A- where are you lost aunty?

Pinky didn't react rather she chuckled reminiscing something.

S - mom?(holding her shoulder)

P- haa haan , I  just remembered that day in the hospital,when myself and shivaay came to meet Yamini(annika's mother)  when you were born(to annika)

An instant smile crept in their faces listening to it.

Flashback (pinky is narrating this to shivika)

Shivaay is 3 years old.

Pinky took shivaay along and went to the hospital to meet yamini.

P- Yami!!where is my daughter.

Yamini handovered her little annika to pinky.

P- awww meri choti yami !kaisi hai.I'm pinky ..teri pinky aunty.

Pinky spend some time with the baby , after that she placed her on the cradle and then she was talking with yami.

While on the other side our baby boy shivaay was looking keenly at annika who was also looking at him in return while blinking her eyes continuously .He himself being a small kid was amazed by her tiny features from her blooming eyes her rosy lips,her dark shaded hair and every other specific feature .He slowly poked his finger into her wrapped fists and to his surprise annika held his finger tightly.He immediately smiled and bent towards her.

S- happy birlthday!!tumle pata hai...mela bhi happy birlthday hai aaj.

Baby annika took her hands near his face and pinched his nose with her little fingers.

S- acha ...acha,chocolate chaliye na wait.

He picked a chocolate from his pocket .Unwrapping it he put a small bar into her mouth.But soon pinky noticed it.

P- shivaay ,what have you done (trying to take the chocolate from her mouth)

S- mom,mela birlthday ke liye chocolate ...(he said innocently)

P- babies shouldn't eat chocolate shivaay.

S- solly (sorry)mom,mule (muje)nahi pata hai.

He then neared annika and murmured "solly(sorry)" to her.While she again lifted her fists and pinched his nose.

Pinky who was watching this silently,clicked a picture of them.

End of flashback

A- aunty ,it is this picture right. (She asked her pointing a pic from an album)

P- yes.

S- hmm,and it has already become a practise for us to click a picture on our birthday every year, in the same place and even in the same position .(he chuckled)

(The album consisted 22 pictures of shivika ,each depicting the same action but incrementing their age)

A- birthday nahi shivaay,birlthday.(she emphasized the word while he glared)

P- oh my mata,the time is 11 PM now.See if I speak about your childhood,there won't be an end to it .Common have your dinner and go to sleep.

She handed their plates and left from there.

A- when are you taking me for shopping?(while munching the food)

S- kal free ho?

A- yeah .

S- then fine. Tommorow...

A- ok.

The next day in shopping mall.

S- Annika,as usual right.You should select for me and I should select for you ,hmm?

She nodded.

A- so what's the theme?

S- white.

A- fine.(she was about to move to the Male's section)

S- one second annika.

A- kya?

S- when you're finished,plss do come to the lady's section and stand with me.All the ladies there will be giving weird glances on me as if I'm a human bomb.

A-(she laughed)teek hai.

After sometime,they both selected the dress for the other.And according to their rule ,they shouldn't see their dress before their birthday.So they didn't exchange their packages.

After that they settled in the car and at that time shivaay received a call.And unfortunately there was a situation that shivaay had to leave to London immediately.(he had to stay there for 2 days to complete the work)  He tried to fix things ,but it was mandatory for him to go there.He was very much dissapointed about this as they both have never missed celebrating their birthday together from childhood.

He told her about this,and immediately her facade went pale.She remained silent throughout the journey , shivaay knew that she was hurt. He was cursing his luck for bringing such a situation in his life.

At OM

Shivaay was roaming around his room,when he saw annika entering with a trolley case. Without speaking anything she started packing his clothes in it.

S- what are you doing annika?

A- will you wear the same dress for all three days?(she didn't look at him)

S - I'm not going.(he said sternly)

A- common shivaay,don't be an idiot.It is an emergency situation,just go. Don't worry about me,I'm fine .

S- I'm not fine annika,(he shouted)hamare birthday pe mein tumhari saath rehna chahtha hoon.Plss I'm not going .

A- shivaay ,(making him face her)do you think it is easy for me.(her eyes were teared up)understand shivaay.

S- let's do one thing,tum bhi chalo mere saath .(cupping her face)

She remained silent.

S- annika?

A- nahi shivaay,I've been assigned an important project to be submitted tommorow,so I can't ...(she hesitated )

Shivaay was completely dissapointed and his face fell completely in defeat.
