It was just another day of the week but everything shouted differences for shivika . The mere reason of not talking to each other like usual did serve them with the whole lot of sadness . Maybe they conversed ,but not as The Idiot and His Paanika rather two individuals who shared the same place to live. Neither he took step to get close to know the reason behind her insecure feelings nor she realized that everything was just her own knots of imaginations and nothing else . He couldn't behave with her normally because , the thought that she actually questioned about their marriage did no good to him . That was enough to hold him within his own thoughts. It hurt him , ' Then why did you marry me? ' this definitely left him with pain as the only being whom he believed could understand him no matter what, was the one raising fingers against him .

The two buddies come couple , are really facing a tough time with these scenarios being exposed in the journey of life ,together.

Maybe , Time can do some help .

He watched his plate being filled with breakfast , and allotted some space for his news paper on the table as he could concentrate . Pinky then served annika who already started eating even before the pinky could complete. Glancing the paper , there remained a frown on his face suddenly .

S- annika , you carry out this innovation column right ? Then why , Saarika's name is mentioned and not your's ?

A- I've been removed from that task ,and it has been a quite few days to that already . Maybe you're noticing it only now .

Her faint smile was clearly sensed by him but he chose not to elaborate it further and to get into another argument with her.

Silence prevailed for some more time before she thought to break it.

A- aunty, I won't be returning home tonight .

Both the others watched her in blow within no seconds .

P- kyun ?

A- I've been assigned with an important project , we have to collect certain statistical data for which we would have to travel to some places . So ,I should ( interrupted)

P- nahi annika ,no. You know right? I won't allow you to stay outside.

Annika looked low on hearing pinky's straight disapproval.

A- par aunty , it's really an important project for me . I've always wanted to do this . Please aunty, we have to cover more places for this ,isliye . And , we don't have much time too. Don't worry I'm not alone, my team mates will be going with me . Please aunty .

She looked really in greed of doing this but pinky didn't look fully convinced yet . Shivaay who was listening to all this finally spoke.

S- I haven't scheduled anything yet, I'll go with you too.

A- there's no need for it shivaay , mere colleagues honge mere saath .

Replying, she grasped his yet worried face . Well , he was worried for her. Never had she stayed away for work but now he doesn't want to object because he knew she wants it . And he can't stand inbetween her necessities ,moreover he's much more kind in supporting her through any step that she could ever think of .

P- where would you stay ?

A- our company has arranged all that and the place is within city limit only . You don't have to worry.

With her entire gaze fixed on the lost him ,she assured.

P - pehle batha deti na annika ?

A- I myslef was been informed only this morning aunty . We ,

Noticing her mobile which buzzed hard in vibration , she stopped and attended the call.

He quietly helped her in packing some stuffs and she just let him do . She couldn't hide her smile when she watched him arranging a set dress after folding it perfectly .

This invisible bridge which kept them separated was felt by her . Days were never like these ever but if such a situation is created then it's definitely both their fault and she was blind to that fact.

Since she had delayed to complete a report before the supposed time , the editor removed her from that daily column task and this current thing for which she's set off is really a big one . Being quite nervous, she kept her eyes wandering constantly while he zipped up the bag . It's certainly a good chance to prove herself, and she didn't want anything to go wrong.

He noticed the restless her and tucked her wrist ,grabbing attention .

S- you're ok ?

She acknowledged with a nod . With still being dropped in her nervousness , she was desperate to feel his warmth now . Looking at him once she forwarded to hug but at that very second he who didn't notice her coming towards ,shifted his concentration to the damn horn sound from outside and faced away .

S- I think your friends have come .

He turned to watch her arm hanging in air and looked at her keenly . She blinked once and abruptly cooked up seeming to have been taking the bag which stayed on the bed , he shrugged off .

A- bye.

S- bye , take care .

Noticing his insisting eyes she stretched her lips lightly leaving a short smile.

Getting along with her team who were so helpful throughout ,she managed to gather some relevant things necessary for the report . Travelling to different spots ,she was certainly caught up with nothing but work .

A- hey saarika , change the frame size. These pictures are good but ,our editor is very particular about the size you know right ? See to it .

Fixing the camera in her hold ,she rested back on the seat and scrolled through each image . Saarika let a huge sigh and replied .

Sa- Thank God ! you checked it . If not I would have got a nice dosage from him .

He took an off and stayed back at home. No reasons though, just as that he had no mind to go. It was already afternoon ,and there was not even a missed call from her . Poor couple , she on the other side was thinking of the same . Times when he thinks to dial for her ,he just ends back in reluctance of not wanting to disturb her.

A new phase it is which is being explored in their relationship ,yet both remained ignorant of it . Fight when together and Miss when apart.

This be their law of love .

He actually wants to forget everything and apologise, wait ! Apologize? What did he do ? On the whole, he is the person who felt hurt. Ohh, it's getting too complicated. Rubbing his palm over his face ,he exhaled deep when he his sight caught the ever so dishelved state of the room with everything kept everywhere .

' our room isn't some museum that I should stack up and arrange things to perfect , unorderly things give me the feel that it's my room !'

He chuckled shaking his head as he remembered her words . Indeed ,his bachelor room was just the opposite to what it is now . Changes which only she could bring . Not that he dislikes it but sometimes a messy surrounding does heat up his already frustrated mind at situations. Perhaps he realized , this is how it's going to be with his lazy wife running around . He doesn't complain though .

With the same sweet smile covering his face ,he made it up to her work table kept aside . It looked a disaster too ,with A4 sheets spread all over , chocolate wrappers thrown on and pens perfectly kept everywhere but the stand. And there stayed a frame too,

He picked the frame in his hands, the one which had a picture taken during their teenage period . She portraying an atmost weirdly crazy pose while he acting the good one .

If travelled back and said that they would be husband and wife in future, their younger selves wouldn't just believe. She and me ...?

Well ,his life just took the turn when he realized that she was the one he'd always wish for.

Even back then they used to fight but that didn't seem a problem when they casually end up together. But that's really taking a tough path when it's now , after marriage. He desperately was in need of knowing the answer for this riddle . The same he ,the same she then why only now ?

P- looks like you're already missing your wife ,

Came pinky's voice from behind and he turned after placing the frame on the table carefully.

S- nothing mom ,I was just .

He shrugged and she smiled shaking her head .

P- you know , what's the problem between you too ? You both just don't express anything at the correct time . Matlab, till yesterday you were playing silent quite games with her and now you stand up in one corner and feel for her . That girl is exclusively the same as you in this topic alone .

Her affirming words were listened by him with full concentration after which he let a faint smile.

S- what do I do mom ? If I say my days in school and college were wonderful she's like , so you aren't happy with me now ? I don't know why she's reacting that way .

He shook his head hard ,and sighed away when pinky smiled palming his cheeck .

P - then show her that you're the happiest ,when with her !

Noticing his mother's expressive claim , he could do nothing but put on a weak smile .

S- mom , it's not only that. She's so into finding faults in whatever I say .

He emphasized and pinky countered immediately.

P- well ,don't forget that you are married to a media reporter .

Saying which she chuckled and shivaay just stared with no reaction .

S- mom ,plss .

P- acha ok fine ! Listen shivaay ,I have never imposed anything on you both because I trust my children will do the right ,everytime. So even in this dispute between you both, I'm not going to do anything as I can't support one and blame the other. Try for forgive and forget things shivaay . It's the only way you could live happily . Anyways , she didn't do any big sin that couldn't be forgiven right?

Keeping numb he listened to everything with a neutral face . She patted his shoulder twice and was about to leave but stopped once again to face him.

P - she was ready to accept death if not a life with you shivaay . She might be wrong at times , arguing and fighting that is ok . It happens, but see to that you both come over it soon. How many ever times it takes ,you should practise to forgive her those many times. All the way ,isn't she your paanika ?

Pinky was relieved when his face grew with assurance as he held her hand and nodded .

He still remembers the day when she was lying on his lap ,like a lifeless being with blood oozing out from her nose in full rate .

A disastrous day in his life . Even the thought of that day , made his palms drop down in wetness. His state of mind back then was just like an unstable man roaming with no conscious. She loves him so much that she didn't fear to end her life too . His poor friend finally realized her love but attempted a worst way to express it . Maybe, that's the problem between the both . They weren't good at expressing their feelings as his mother said . She was actually hurt thinking that he ignored her the other day ,and moreover she thinks that he treasures his bachelor life much . Woah! His girl is really stuck within a web of misunderstandings, on knowing no ways to show her love hidden behind those fights . He chuckled , coming to a conclusion soon.

They can fight ,they can argue they can ignore each other, and what else too . With all this going on, he will definitely see to that he doesn't hurt her feelings and strive hard to express his love .

It was already night when she returned to the room after having dinner . Swiping up the screen, her face went all down in disappointment. Not even a missed call from him . She threw in on the bed and walked into the restroom to fresh up .

Sa- I'm so tired annika . I'll complete the written work by tomorrow, I promise . Plss ,

She saw her friend jamming on the bed letting a wide yawn ,and shook her head sighing. That's when her mobile pinged for her to leave her clothes down which she was folding now ,and rush to take the mobile .

' free ? '

She read his message and replied a yes when instantly the screen flashed for a video call. There played a wide smile on her face . Come on! She missed him too . There was nothing she could think of now rather her idiot.

Sprinting towards the balcony , she leaned on the wall and swiped green .

A- so you had to ask permission to call me , have we reached to that point ?

Holding the phone right ahead her face ,she questioned .

S- I thought you might be busy .

She noticed his oscillating movement and predicted that he must be seated on the swing .

A - I always have time for you shivaay ,unlike you don't for me .

She phrased the last words in a low tone but still he heard it and did nothing but smiled to her surprise.

S- don't forget , it was me who called you now .

A -wow ! Now should I praise you for that ?

She rolled her eyes .

S- ok leave it ,tell me how was your work today?

A- it went well actually. I got to meet nice people around and it was quite interesting you know.

He smiled in acknowledgement as she continued speaking of the things which happened this day for him to just get lost in the sight of his screen . How many days it has been since she spoke with him like before? The non- stop chatternox .

S- well , I have to say this paanika . You seem all good and nice on this screen but when your here with me for real, you turn out a ...!

She watched him widening his eyes in horror .

A- a monstrous fighter cock ?

Her eyes were squeezed to small while he immediately shook in no . Not again ! he thought.

S - no I didn't mean that.

A- cool idiot , you don't have to fear so much .

S- you aren't angry ?

A- no I mean come on! I may have fought with you but it doesn't mean that I'd do it always.

He looked surprised , and shrugged off soon remembering his main motive for calling her .

S- annika ,I ...I'm sorry .

Watching his serious face ,she went baffled.

A- for which deed of your's ,are you seeking forgiveness now ?

She deliberately put up a smirk which he noticed.

S- everything .

He muttered and soon that smirk on her face flew as she knew that he really seemed guilty.

S- I always never want to hurt you annika but if you felt hurt because of me . I'm extremely sorry for that .

She just kept silent . What happened to him suddenly?

S - you hear me annika ?

He asked on watching the quite her , and she immediately nodded  in response.

A- yeah, I heard you . Just surprised , kya hogaya tumhe ?

S- kuch nahi , I wanted to apologize that's it . Don't be late tomorrow, I'll be waiting for you .

She locked the mobile and clutched it close to her heart . Feeling a light feather herself she smiled like a maniac . Sometimes a call from the most special person can actually do wonders and she definitely believed the fact now . They just had a normal conversation ,but here the organ hidden within her ribs was already swelled in joy reason for which none knew .

Going back inside the room ,she peeled of the duvet beneath which her poor friend was sleeping . Saarika got up with a jolt at once.

Sa- what did you just do annika?

A- at what time we are leaving tomorrow?

Sa- pata nahi, I've to ask kishore sir . Chod na ,

She tried getting the duvet from her who didn't oblige being unhappy with her answer.

A- I don't know ,you have to convince him so that we can start for home soon .

Sa- arey ,what can I do ?

Squeezing her eyes ,she yawned when annika raised her brows .

A- kishore tera boyfriend haina ? He would agree if you ask .

Sa- arey haan boyfriend ! Mein tho neendh mei bool gayi .

Saying this she scratched her hair when annika gave a slight slap on her face .

A- don't forget.

Sa- ok but why so desperate to go home?

A- kyunki muje mera husband ke paas jana hai!

Throwing the duvet which landed on the ground ,annika smiled widely for saarika to murmur some easy curses on her friend for murdering her sleep at this time .
