A- shivaay ,shoot him shoot him idiot.

S- yeah,I am trying ,wait

A- shoot him soon or else I'm going to die ,my life is decreasing soon.

S -yeah ,you stay at the back .I'll see to him

They both were fidgeting their joysticks playing contra .This was their routine game actually ,since their childhood.They were totally into the game as they were dashing each other being too curious while playing .

P- Oh my mata ,you both have started again!!

But both didn't pay any heed to her as they weren't getting out of the game as for now.

A- oh shit , I'm dead (defeated )

S- it's ok ,I'll finish this stage .(pressing the shooting button like a maniac)

A- not so soon Mr.Idiot ,wait.

She took her joystick and pressed a button,so obviously she could play now but it was with his life .

S- paanika (shouting )why did you take my life ?

A- so what will I do then ?

S- don't die again then .See there shoot him ...

Like this the game continued and each time annika lost her life she decremented his lives by one and started playing again making him go grudged on her .And soon shivaay lost all his lives and sat idle with anger while annika who was playing with his life completed the stage .

A -hey !!!(jumping )shivaay !!,I finished the stage yeah!!

S- it was my life (gritting his teeth)

A- but ,I was the player right (justifying herself )

S- no,If you haven't taken my life .I would have completed it.

Saying this he threw a pillow on her which straightly hit her face .

A- idiot ,

She took another pillow and started beating him with it and there again started a world war 3 pinky thought .It was like shivaay lying on the couch and annika hovering him with the pillow in her hand.

Their non-stop fighting session was interrupted by someone at the door.

P- Aao ,mrinali .Aahiye (to mrinali's parents )

Soon annika got up and positioned herself and shivaay's state was no less than a street rowdy,with his totally mishandled hair ,all thanks to annika for that .His shirt was tucked in one side and left out at the other with buttons opened .Annika who noticed all this,soon set his hair neatly and closed his buttons .

A- hoi idiot ,your in laws are here and look at your state  .(while helping him with his button)

S- don't forget ,you started this. (Glaring her )

A- we will have this fight afterwards .

This was clearly noticed by mrinali and her parents ,she knew that shivika were close friends but will she be able to convince her parents about this or will any parent feel good to know that their son-in-law has already got another important woman in his life .But they didn't show it of ,shivaay greeted them and pinky discussed about the alliance .

Annika who was seated beside shivaay thought that she should give them some space so she tried to get up but  felt him holding her.

S -kahan jaa rahi ho ?

She knew he won't leave her now.

A- vo ,my dress is torn. I'll just change and come .(she lied)

S- ok .

As soon as annika stood up to move she saw mrinali rushing to sit with him.Annika understood,she didn't belong to this situation at that instant so she left to her room.

She sat infront of the mirror keenly picturizing her own image.From when did she started distancing herself from him ,why should she do that?Why ?is it that she has no rights on him?Or should she really be ignorant on him ?All these questions were roaming through her mind .But one thing was clear to her ,Shivaay isn't the same Idiot of her's now .He is Mrinali's shivaay .This mear thought  itself left an unbearable pain in her.But poor annika ,wasn't aware of the reason behind it.

The next day

In shivaay 's office (early night )

After completing her work, annika reached his office so that they could have dinner together and reach home .

Seated on his rolling chair she was rotating through it again and again enjoying the small ride while he was busy checking some files.

A- woohoo,yeah (rotating continuously)

S- annika ...(nodded in disbelief)

A- jaldi shivaay ,I'm hungry. (Still turning the chair )

S- yeah .Just some more time .

He was going through his files when he heard a notification sound from his mobile. It was from Mrinali,"Dinner ?"was the message .

He replied that he was in office ,

Even me came the reply from her.

Matlab ?he typed .

And soon someone knocked the door of his cabin .

S- yeah ,come in

It was Mrinlai ,watching annika to be present there already all her excitation suddenly faded.Suddenly she started feeling angry on annika ,why is she always with him she thought.

A- hey Mri,

M- hi

S- hi mrinali ,what a surprise .

M- Hi

A- shivaay ,I'm really starving man .Enough is enough,(she held his hands )come let's go .Mri ,it's good you have come here .Come let's go (she pulled him along with her )

M- annika ,can't you leave us alone for a second.I'm his girlfriend for God sake understand that . (with no more patience seeing annika dragging shivaay ,she bursted out )

Immediately her hold on him loosened,feeling it he looked at her with guilty eyes to find her already hurt orbs .Soon she left his hand ,he tried to hold her but she moved from him.

A- vo .....shivaay ,just now......I remembered .I've some important work to....complete.....I'll just come haan .(she spoke stammering  without looking at him while he was continuously trying to look into her eyes )

But no annika could no longer stay there,she left.

S -anni...(his words died in his throat as she already left the room)

He felt terrible now,he could perfectly feel how bad she would have been hurt .No one has the rights to hurt his annika .He furiously turned towards Mrinali .

M- Oh my God,did I hurt her very much  .I didn't mean to...

She stopped, seeing his palms straight to her indicating her to stop speaking .

S- I want you to know just one thing .(his anger was on top notch )annika is my first everything, she has every rights on me .She is very important for me .Vo sirf mera bachpan ka dost nahi hai ,we both have lived our whole life together . (emphasizing his statement )So don't you dare hurt her again.(he said in a daring tone )I hope you understand(he left )

Mrinali ,who stood witnessing his anger all this time just muttered to herself  "she isn't just a friend for you shivaay "

OM

Annika reached home ,throughout the way she was fully crying silently .Today it was totally evident that she was interfering in his life.This is it ,their friendship has to be loosened from now .An obvious truth was clearly predictable to her ,friendship becomes temporary at a particular stage in life .Her stage has come she thought.

But she also knew that,it wasn anyone's fault .It was natural ,Mrinali's feelings should also be respected. At the same time ,annika herself couldn't leave her idiot or she can never think of moving away from him.From her first day on earth ,she has been with him .How can she suddenly think of getting seperated from the person who seemed to define the whole world for her?

For the first time ,she felt that she herself could have loved him .If happened so , she would have not faced a situation like this ."Shit ,what am I thinking ,shivaay is my friend that's it"
She started getting confused .

P- annika ,

A- ha ,haan .

P- where are you lost ,come let's have dinner .

A- nahi aunty,I ain't hungry .

P- I have prepared your favourite dish today so you have to eat .And haan one more thing ,I thought of telling you .

A- kya aunty ?

P- My distant relatives are living in US ,they asked me for an alliance.

A- matlab ?

P- arey matlab hai ki ,they wanted you to get married to their son.(she said happily)They have seen you once here ,when they visited India .I don't know if you would remember them. But they liked you so ,

Annika was shocked .

P- Acha rishta hai beta ,their son is also a perfect match for you ,after marriage,you would be flying to States .

A-no (came her immediate reply)I can't stay away from shivaay .No

Listening to her reply pinky started laughing  .

P- what are you telling annika ?It is nature ,every girl should live in her in law's house after marriage. If you can not live without him ,then you should only marry him (she said sarcastically)

These words straightly hit annika ,

P- I don't know what to do with you both ,even he is like this ."I can't stay away from annika" (imitating shivaay )ok leave it.We will speak about this later,now come and have your dinner .Zindagi barr sath rehna hai tho ye bandhan  pyaar  hi tho hai ,who will make them understand. (She spoke to herself while walking but this was heard by annika )

A- pyaar ?

She started feeling weird,was their relation just friendship ?Then she remembered pinky's words about love the other day .Oh God ,it perfectly matches with her feelings for shivaay .She "is "possessive for him .She "does" care for him .She "does "miss him when he isn't with her .Every happiness in her life was "because of him "and most importantly ,she can "never imagine a life without him" .

A- maybe ....I do love him?(she whispered while her eyeballs moving continuously in search of an answer within)
