Rebecca could not take it anymore. She moved to her Grandparents' house, just a few miles away from her mother's home.
"Oh my goodness! Darling what had happened!?" her grandmother asked. "Nothing Grandma. Nothing." Rebecca lied. But the truth is she did not want her Grandma to get worried and that her mother was abusing her. "Grandma? Can you..homeschool me?" Rebecca was afraid to go to public school. All those names and thing they said and called her would never be swept away from her heart. It scared so much. "Rebecca, dear!" Grandpa said as he was coming in. "Why are you here?". "I don't want to be with mother." Rebecca replied. "Oh! Well supper is nearly ready. So wash up!" Grandpa said. "Rebecca, why again do you want us to homeschool you?" Grandma asked. "I have a hard time paying attention when Im in public school." Rebecca lied but once again, for her own safety. "Alrighty then. Eat up!" Grandma said.
