Ember's POV

"So, explain to me," I said. "What did you mean when you were talking about how you're dimension is being overrunned by zombies?"

"Well, we both live in the Overworld," Nina explained. "But we live in alternate worlds. It's hard to explain, it's like two different servers, and I somehow ended up in this one."

"How did you even end up here in the first place?" I asked.

Nina sighed. "I... don't want to talk about it." She replied.

"I understand," I said. "I wouldn't want to talk about how much people hate me."

"How much do they hate you?" Nina asked.

"Well, they always joked about killing me," I said. "I bet they felt mighty proud of themselves when I did die."

Nina smiled at that. "Huh, looks like you had a rough life too."

"It used to be boring," I said. "Besides Moon of course."

"What's so exciting about the moon?" Nina asked.

"She's my girlfriend, or was, I'm not sure," I replied.

"Oh! That Moon!" Nina said.

"So, do you have anybody you like?" I asked.

Nina hesitated. "Um, well..." she said slowly.

"NINA!"

We turned around to see a young man running towards us. I saw that Nina's face lit up.

"Jun? Is that you?" She asked.

Jun ran over and hugged her. "You're alright!" He said.

"Yeah, I am," Nina replied.

I stayed silent, and after a moment, Jun noticed me.

"Hello," he said. "Who are you?"

"My name is Ember," I replied. "It's a pleasure to meet you."

"Likewise," he replied.

"So, what did I miss?" Jun asked.

Nina filled him in, pretty quickly.

Jun sighed. "So first our friend and now this?" He asked.

Nina nodded. "I'm afraid so," she replied.

"Who is behind all of this?!" He asked. "Who's the madman behind all of this?"
