Another night where Sesshomaru has to protect the useless human girl in his midst, she was sleeping curled up into a bedding she called a sleeping bag, the nights have grown chilly, and he noticed she shivers in the bedding, though she's by a fire.
Sesshomaru decided to lay next to her, to use his body heat, to warm her up, and he wrapped his arm around her, and after awhile, she stopped shivering, and she turned into his chest as she slept, her mumbling out.
"Mom."

Sesshomaru looked down at her; watching her facial expressions, and his heart started thrashing against his chest, as he watched her do so.
She nuzzled against his neck, making him stiffen.
He never met a woman; a human woman, who nuzzled people in her sleep.
Is it a sign she is affectionate?
Very affectionate?
Sesshomaru ran his fingers through her wild dark hair, and she immediately relaxed more in her sleep.
He started to feel sleepy as well; so he closed his eyes, and he drifted off.

"Mmmmm....."
I moan out as I slowly felt myself waking from slumber, and I slowly open my eyes, to find Sesshomaru holding me to his chest, him asleep.
I blink in shock at that; me unsure why he slept like this with me.
I shiver; feeling a cold chill go through me, and Sesshomaru on instinct tugged me further into his chest, him letting out a breath into my face that smelled like a puppy's breath, which I've always loved that smell.

I watch him sleep for awhile; that is until my bladder screamed at me to go pawdee, so I gently shake him awake, and he slowly opens his golden eyes, him staring at me.
"Gotta pawdee."
I tell him, and he pulls away from me, his cheeks tinging pink.

I crawled to be on my feet; and start rolling up my sleeping bag, and put it, and my pink pillow into my bag, and I stand up, saying to him, pointing at some bushes.
"I'll go behind the bushes.
Keep watch please."
He nods at me; and I go behind the bushes, and take my pants, and panties off, and hung them upon a branch, and I do that crab walk, and released my bladder, and once I was done, I used a baby wipe to wipe my crotch, and used another to wipe my hands, throwing them over where I released my bladder, then pulled on my panties and pants.

I then come from behind the bushes, and then walk over to my book bag, and start taking out my toothpaste and toothbrush, and walk over to the stream we camped by, and I start brushing my teeth, making sure my teeth are clean, and Sesshomaru watched me do so, a puzzled look upon his face, Jaken even seemed perplexed too.

"What are you doing human girl?"
Jaken asked me as I spat all the toothpaste out of my mouth.

"Grooming my teeth."
I tell him.

"Grooming your teeth?"
Jaken asked me, and I nod as I rinsed my toothbrush off, and wiped it with a cloth to dry it.

"Yes; back home we groom our teeth."
I tell Jaken.

Jaken blinked in shock at that.
"If you don't groom them, then they rot."
I say to him.

Jaken then walked away, him puzzled.
I then put my toothbrush and toothpaste away in my book bag, and zip it up.
I look to Sesshomaru; me saying to him.
"Do I look or smell funny?"

"No.
Your mouth I can smell the odd scent from there of what you used to groom it."
Sesshomaru admits honestly to me, his nose crinkling up.

"Does the minty smell bother you?"
I ask him.

"No."
He looked away from me, and I saw his cheeks tinging pink once again, meaning he lied.

I then pull out my brush and start brushing my short wild hair, and when I did, it I was not a rats nest anymore, but it's usual spiky way.
I put my brush away and zip my bag up.
"I need to go back home for other supplies."
I tell him.

I forgot to pack pads and I'm getting close to my period.
I thought to myself.
And Inutaisho rushed me; so that's why I forgot them.

Sesshomaru sniffed.
"Are you wounded?"

I gasp in shock.
"Oh no!"

Sesshomaru looked puzzled and I look at him in horror.
"My period!
It's started!
I need cloth!
Please get me some!
It's way too soon!"
I grab him by his arm, me giving him a desperate look upon my face.

Sesshomaru went red in his face.
"Alright.
Jaken stay with her."
Sesshomaru pulled his arm away and ran off.

"What's a period?"
Jaken asked me.

"Human women bleed once a month."
I tell him.

"Oh!
I heard about it, but it's called the red flower, not a period."
Jaken says to me.

"Really?"
I ask him, me shocked by how things were so different back then.

"Indeed.
It means you can have babies.
Human girls as young as thirteen are married off once they get their red flower....well that's what I heard."
Jaken says to me and I gape at him in shock.

"That's disgusting!
Older men marrying children?!
Where I'm from that's illegal!"
I exclaim at him.

"Where are you from that it's illegal?"
He scoffed at me.

"I'm not from here; but from a place it is illegal."
I say rather calmly.
"Things were different in this place."
I then mutter that next.

I heard rustling and Jaken gets in front of me.
"Stay behind me girl."
I merely nod at that order Jaken gave me, but what came from the trees was Sesshomaru, him holding a white bundle of cloth that's tied up, and Jaken relaxed.

Sesshomaru walked over to me, him holding out the white bundle of cloth that's tied up.
"This is all I could scavenge."

I untied the knot from the bundle of cloth, seeing torn cloths that were white, and the size of my underwear.
I look up at him, me giving him a thankful look.
"I wish I could hug you!
Thank you!"
I smile cheerfully at him as I walk over behind some bushes.
"Don't peep!"
I watch Sesshomaru turn his back to me; and Jaken do so too as I pull my pants, and panties down, me seeing I spotted a tiny bit on my underwear, so I tied a rag over my underwear, two of them in fact, and pull my pants, and panties back up, and tied the bundle of the white cloths up.

I come from behind the bushes and say to Sesshomaru.
"I'm decent now."
I then walk over to my bag, and put these cloths in my bag.
"These should work until I can go back home to get sanitary products for my period."

Sesshomaru; I felt his eyes upon me, as I do this, zip my bag up, and he grabbed my bag, and I'm glad I kept my drink container out, and filled it with water before we left this area.
Sesshomaru had tied my bag onto A-un's saddle; and he started walking off, and I follow close behind him.
He looked at me over his shoulder as he walked; then forward, and I swear I saw his elf ears were red.

He then tossed me a fruit, that looked like a pear, him saying to me.
"Eat."

"Thank you."
I tell him.

He didn't reply, as I walk, and I eat the sweet pear up, me enjoying eating the pear, and once I finished it, I had thrown the core to where other animals could eat it.
"Can you tell me your name now?"
I ask him, but he stayed silent, meaning he don't trust me with his name yet still.
"It's fine.
You don't have to tell me until you are ready then."
I say rather cheerfully to him.

Ugh....that human girl is changing Milord a great deal.
I wish he would get rid of her; but I doubt he will, since he kept her warm last night.
The poor girl was shivering.
Milord noticed and felt pity and helped her stay warm.
And he never feels pity for humans!
Not once has he done so!
Jaken thought to himself.
Milord; why are you growing soft for this human girl?!

As we walk along a path; I had sneezed quite loudly, which made birds fly away in fright from the trees around us, and I sniffle.
I sneeze once again, making Sesshomaru look at me over his shoulder.
"Ugh.....I think I caught a cold."

He slowed down his walking, and I blink in shock as he places his hand upon my forehead, then he felt his own forehead.
He deeply frowned.
"Indeed.
You have a fever."
He says to me.

"You don't need to stop your plans for me sir."
I put my hands up in defense, and make a pained face.
"Anyways; we just met, and you don't have obligations to care for me like you have, so you can leave me here if you need to."

"You are a bafoon."
I look up at him as he stopped walking, and he was scowling deeply at me.
"You invaded my life yourself.
Take responsibility for it."
He says rather calmly at me.

"Um....what did I do exactly?"
I tilt my head in confusion, me making a face I'm nervous he said that.

"Nevermind my words."
He scoffed as he walked forward; and I follow him, but the further we walked, I got dizzier, and I soon fell upon my hands and knees, sweat dripping to the grass, me breathing hard.

"Milord methinks the human girl may croak over if we do not stop."
Jaken says to Sesshomaru.

Sesshomaru turned to look down at me; and he sighs, and says to Jaken.
"Find a cave nearby so that we may take shelter Jaken."

Jaken kowtowed to Sesshomaru.
"Yes Milord."
Jaken then walked away, him scurrying along into the woods.

A-un then stomped up to me; one of his heads nudging me as if to tell me that I'll be in good hands.
"A-un seems to have taken quite a liking to you human girl."
Sesshomaru kneeled down on one knee, him looking at me as if he's trying to figure me out, and took my chin into his hand.
"You may not be so worthless if A-un cares for you."
I then passed out from my fever; me slumping onto my side onto the grass.

Sesshomaru sighs, him muttering to himself.
"You weak thing."
He then trailed his fingers along her round cheek upon her face, him feeling the scorching heat of her fever upon his fingers.
He then looked to his right; him seeing a lake over yonder, and he needed to calm her fever down with the lake.
He picked her up into his only arm he had, his hand on her rear, cupping her rear so that she leaned against his fur pelt.
He walked over to the lake; and descended into the chilly cool lake, descending down into the water, to where it rested at her shoulders.
He looked down at her; watching her teeth immediately chatter, him desiring the fever to let up from her cold.

Why do I want her to feel better?
Am I weak as well?
He thought quizzically to himself.

He noticed blood started accumulating in the water from her rear, which he held, meaning she was on her red flower as she said, but she called it a period, which was a strange kind of slang to him.

"Milord!
Why are you in the lake?!"
Jaken called to him.

Sesshomaru then asked Jaken.
"Have you found anywhere we can rest?"

"Indeed I have Milord.
I found an old hut.
We can make a fire there.
Also I picked some herbs that could help the girl."
Jaken replied to him.

Sesshomaru then walks out of the water; and his clothes clung to him like a second skin, his long silver hair glistened too, and was flattened onto his back, and his hand cupping her rear was covered in blood.
"Milord?
Are you bleeding?"
Jaken inquired.

"No."
He then walked away.
"Show me the way to the hut."

"Yes Milord!
Right away!"
Jaken exclaimed; and guides Sesshomaru towards the direction of the hut he found, and A-un follows them.
