23 days later, the remaining Avengers are at the compound including Rocket. Goku still didn't recover from what happened and he still blames himself for letting Thanos live long enough to Snap his fingers and the people he knew and cared disappear in front of him.

Steve would later shave himself, as he and Natasha did their best to comfort Goku as this is the first time he sees his in a state he would never expect or want to see him being: Depression and self-blame.

That night, a light starts to glow as the Avengers went outside to see Carol Danvers, Captain Marvel bringing in a ship. She lands it down, it opens and they see Tony walking down with Nebula. Steve went up to help him.

Tony: I couldn't stop him.

Steve: Neither could I.

Tony: I lost them.

Steve: Tony, we lost.

Pepper came to Tony.

Pepper: Oh my God. Oh my God.

Rocket sees Nebula alone, he knows what happened the other Guardians. Everyone is inside, looking at pictures of the fallen. Goku sees the pictures of Wanda, Pietro, Nick Fury, Maria Hill, and Peter Parker, someone he didn't know, but he would love to meet him. His heart just continues to break, as he felt responsible for those who disappeared into dust.

Rhodey: It's been 23 days since Thanos came to Earth.

Nat: World governments are in pieces. The parts that are still working are trying to take a census, and... He did exactly what he said he was going to do. Thanos wiped out... 50% of all living creatures.

Tony: Where is he now?

Steve: We don't know, he just opened up a portal and vanished.

Tony turns to see Goku silent, something he felt strange seeing him like this.

Tony: What's wrong with him?

Steve: He's depressed. He blames himself for Thanos snapping his fingers. We tried our best to tell him he's not responsible for this, but he continues to blame himself for it.

Tony just sighs in exhaustion and stunned that Goku is depressed.

Steve: We've been hunting Thanos for three weeks now. Deep space scans and satellites, and we got nothing. Tony, you fought him-

Tony: Who said that, I didn't fight him. No, he wiped my face with a planet while a Bleeker Street Magician gave away the stone. That's what happened, there was no fight.

Steve: Okay, did he give any clues, any coordinates?

Tony: I saw this coming a few years back, I had a vision, I didn't want to believe it. Now it's true.

Steve: Tony, I going to need you to focus-

Tony: And I 'needed' you, as in past tenses. That trumps what you need. It's too late, buddy. Sorry. You know what I need? You know what I need? I need a shave. I don't believe I ever remember telling you this...

Rhodey: Tony, Tony.

Tony: What we needed was a suit of armor around the world! Remember that? Whether that impacted our precious freedoms or not, that's what we needed!

Steve: Well, that didn't work out, didn't it?

Tony: I said we'd lose. You said, 'we'll do that together too'. Guess what, Cap. We lost, and you weren't there. But that's what we do, right? Our best work after the fact? We're the Avengers, not the Prevengers, right?

Rhodey: Okay, you made your point. Just sit down, okay?

Tony: Okay, no, no, here's my-

He gives a look at Carol.

Tony: She's great, by the way. We need you. You're new blood.

Rhodey: Just sit down.

Tony turns his attention to Steve.

Tony: Bunch of tired old wheels. I got nothing for you, Cap. I've got no coordinates, no clues, no strategies, no options. Zero, zip, nada. No trust, liar.

Tony rips off his arc reactor and give it to Steve.

Tony: Here, you find him and put that, you hide- *he collapses*

Rhodey: Tony!

He falls down as everyone goes to help him. This only made Goku's guilt increase even more. As the others tend to Tony, Carol speaks out.

Carol: You guys take care of him. And I'll bring Xorrian Elixir when I come back.

Natasha: Where are you going?

Carol: To kill Thanos.

Goku's ears perked un with interest.

Nat: Hey, you know, we usually work as a team around here, and between you and I, we're also a little fragile.

Steve: We realize out there is more of your territory, but this is our fight too.

Rhodes: Do you even know where he is?

Carol: I know people who might.

Nebula: Don't bother. I can tell you where Thanos is. Thanos spent a long time trying to perfect me. Then when he worked, he talked about his great plan. Even disassembled, I wanted to please him. I'd ask 'where would we go once his plan was complete?'. His answer was always the same. To the Garden.

Rhodey: That's cute. Thanos has a retirement plan.

Steve: So where is he then?

Rocket: When Thanos snapped his fingers, Earth became ground zero for a power surge of ridiculously cosmic proportions. No one's ever seen anything like it... Until two days ago. *shows a hologram of a planet* On this planet.

Nebula: Thanos is there.

Nat: He used the stones again.

Bruce: We'll be going in shorthanded, you know?

Rhodey: Look, he still got the stones.

Carol: So lets get them, use them to bring everyone back.

Bruce: Really, just like that?

Steve: Yeah, just like that.

Nat: Even if there is a small chance we can undo this, we owe it to everyone who is not in this room to try.

Bruce: If we do this, how do we know it's going to end any differently than before?

Carol: Because before, you didn't have me.

Rhodey: Hey, new girl. Everyone here is about that superhero life. And you don't mind me asking, where the hell you've been all this time?

Carol: There are a lot of planets in the universe, and unfortunately they didn't have you guys.

Thor walks over to Carol, summons Stormbreaker to his hand. It passed by her, she didn't flinch.

Thor: I like this one.

Steve: Then we all agree.

Finally, Goku breaks his silence as he stood up and goes to SSG. Carol was surprised to see a kid having a lot of power, even though he's a Saiyan.

Goku: Let's go get that son of a bitch.

*later*

The team left the atmosphere in the Guardian's ship. Goku has his Saiyan armor that Tony rebuilt and modified.

Rocket: Okay, who hasn't been to space?

Every Avenger, except Goku raised their hands.

Rocket: You better not throw up on my ship.

The ship made the jump, they arrive at Titan II also know as the garden. Carol flew out of the ship.

Carol: I'll head down for recon.

Goku flies out of the ship and joins her.

Goku: I'll go with you.

She nods, though hesitant as they fly down to the planet.

Carol: For a Saiyan, you have a big heart. Haven't seen anyone like you in a long while.

Goku: Thanks. That's the reason why I have this power. My friends transfered their ki to me in a last ditch effort to survive and I became this.

Carol: Fascinating.

After a while, they came back to the ship.

Carol: No satellites, no ships, no armies, no ground defenses of any kind.

Goku: Just him.

Nat: That's enough.

Thanos went out picking out some plants, he returns home to cook. He got ambushed by Goku and Captain Marvel as she held him by his neck. Hulk came in and grab his left arm while War Machine got the right arm. Thor came in with Stormbreaker and chopped of his arm, Thanos yelled out in pain. Steve and Natasha came in.

Rocket flips the arm with the gauntlet melted on, he sees the stones are missing.

Rocket: Oh no. We have a problem.

Steve and Goku look to see that the stones are not in the gauntlet.

Steve: Where are they?

Carol: Answer the question.

Thanos: The universe required correction. After that, the stones serve no purpose beyond temptation.

Goku snaps as his hair went bloody red and his eyes went blank out.

(Imagine him like this but still in God Form)

Goku punches Thanos down in a fit of anger as everyone stepped back, startled by his new appearance.

Goku: YOU KILLED TRILLIONS!

Thanos: You should be greatful.

Goku pulls out is ki blade stabs Thanos through the gut, as he yells out in pain.

Steve: Goku-

Goku turns to them, scaring them with his glaring blank eyes. This is a Goku they never seen before ans it's really terrifying. He turns back to Thanos as he slowly pulls his blade out of his gut, but still kept it.

Goku: Where are the stone?

Thanos: Gone...reduced to atoms.

Bruce: You used them two days ago.

Thanos: I used the stones to destroy the stones. And it nearly killed me. But the work is done, it always will be. I am...inevitable.

Goku: You're lying, we have to find them. They have to be here.

Nebula: My father is many things, a liar is not one of them.

Thanos: Oh, thank you, daughter. Perhaps I treated you too harshly-

Goku decapitates him with his Ki Blade, as he breaths heavily looking at the now dead Thanos.

Rocket: What did you do?

Goku: *sarcastic* I went for the head.

Goku walks out, until he went back to normal and falls down. Steve and Natsha go and aid him as he hugs them, crying.

Goku: That's it, there is no other way. Our only hope is gone.

Natsha and Steve held him more closer as he cries even more with everyone realizing that there is no way to bring everyone back. They lost hope.
