I hope you win

3rd person pov

It was the day of the under 18s. Indiana got ready as she put on her uniform and she walked over to macs stall. she put on his lead and his coat as she led him to the trailer with zoe and they smiled at each other.

"just do your best today, Z. ill be rooting for you as much as I'm rooting for myself" she said and she led mac into the trailer as she clicked in his lead and made sure he was stable.

"dia!"someone called and Indiana turned to see Marcus coming towards her. she smiled as she walked over and grabbed his face. she kissed him softly and they both smiled into it.

"you and mac will do great today, I have utter confidence in you. i know you'll do amazing no matter what" He said and she smiled and nodded

"thank you marcus. I'll see you later okay. I love you" she said and she kissed him one last time before she got in the truck and sat down. she pulled out her headphones from her pocket and she put them in as she went to her emergency playlist and she started it. she leaned her head back against the wall as she hummed the lyrics to herself and then she felt someone tap her shoulder and she opened her eyes to see mia standing there

"mia! hey, I thought you weren't trying out?" Indiana said and mia shrugged and shook her head

"I haven't trained in weeks and ill never make it on the team but its worth a shot and I cant let fear win against me. I hope you win though, it'll stop the fight between gaby and zoe and ill finally have my girlfriend to myself again" Mia said and Indiana laughed and smiled

"ill try for you," she said and she watched zoe walk in gaby got in the car as ted started to truck and they felt it jolt. Indiana and Mia grabbed each other's hands as they moved and then they both laughed

when they got to the stables, they got out and Indiana led mac to a stall as zoe led raven to one, gaby led jet to another and mia led firefly to the other one. Indiana and mac stayed in his stall before there was a knock and Indiana looked up to see Marcus

"you ready?" he asked and she looked at mac who huffed and she nodded

"as we'll ever be" she said and then they heard the announcement

"will group d please make their way to the arena?" and Indiana looked at Marcus and sighed

"and that's us, wish us luck" she said and he smiled as he kissed her and smiled.

"luck" he told her and they all walked to the arena as Indiana stood next to zoe and they watched the girl in the arena

"that's felicity riding now" Marcus stated.

"those jumps are big" zoe said

"they're standard size , they just look bigger in the enclosed arena" Mia tried to reassure her girlfriend.

"well they look positively tiny next to your giant head" Gaby retorted and Indiana snorted under her breathe as Marcus nudged her and she sighed and nodded

"daddys company sponsors the under-18s team. he's on the judging board" Mia said

"handy" gaby stated and they all continued to watch the girl finish her round as they all clapped for her and then Indiana remembered. it was the girl who said her boyfriend wasn't good enough to be a trainer and she stopped clapping , clearly Marcus didn't care but Indiana did. more then she should but she was a girlfriend, an angry caring one but a girlfriend none the less.

"couldn't resist a little go around before we get started.you must be group D. one of you could be selected to join the junior squad today. i get it, its scary. I've been there. the judges and I will be looking for your very best freestyle routine so this can be anything from jumping, to dressage to a mixture of both. so saddle up and show us what you've got" she said and then she walked away as Indiana walked back to macs stall and she leaned against the wall

"even if we don't win, you are the best horse I have ever had and you are all I will ever need" she said to him and she smiled as she saddled him up and made sure that he was ready and prepared. she braided her hair before she heard someone and she turned to see Marcus

"smile" he said and she smiled quickly as she ran her hand over macs mane and laughed softly. susie was set to go first for bright fields after callum , mia was going after susie, callum after her and gaby would go after him, with zoe and Indiana close behind.

Indiana held her paper with her routine and she read over it before she showed mac it and she smiled

"no matter what" she told him and she prepped him a little more before. she watched mia ride out on firefly and she watched mia and Marcus talk to each other a little bit before mia started her routine and Indiana leaned against zoes shoulder as they watched her girlfriend

"I'm proud of her y'know?" zoe said and Indiana nodded with a smile

"tell her that z, not me" Indiana said and she turned as Marcus ran to her with a smile and she smiled as he hugged her

"hey there superstar whats up?" she asked and he smiled

"they're changing my mark and its all thanks to mia but you? you did everything to help me and thank you for that" Marcus said and he kissed her before callum rode out on darius and didn't do the best job.

"gaby grant to arena one. indiana stone, please make your final preparations" felicity called and gaby rode in on jet and she made eye contact with her as she looked at the ground and Indiana knew something was wrong

"oh god gaby what did you do?" she asked and she knew that she had to go after gaby and so she prepared mac and led him out to the arena. she read over her paper one last time and rode out of mac

"Indiana stone to arena one" she rode out

"hi I'm indiana stone and this is mac. I'm going to be doing a freestyle reining routine" she said and she turned to Marcus as he played the music and she walked to the middle with mac. she began and did it perfectly as the song played and macs movements matched the beats. when they were done, she had a smile and Marcus smiled brightly at her. she rode in and zoe looked at her

"dia" she whispered and indiana nodded

"ill talk to her" she said and she got off of mac as she led him back to his stall and she walked over to gaby and callum

"how could you do that to her gaby?" she asked and gaby looked down at her

"I didn't have a plan dia I did what I could" she replied and indiana scoffed

"and so you had to cheat? you had to steal her plan, so much for being a good friend" indiana said and she walked away from her as zoe finished her routine and she watched them talk to each other.

"okay everyone may I have your attention please" felicity called and they walked onto the arena. indiana held zoes hand and sighed together

"okay guys we've voted. someones under-18s future is right here in this envelope. and the new member of the UK under-18 squad will be... is this right? the place goes to callum Elphick" She announced

"yeah that's not right" Indiana said to herself and they all nodded. Indiana walked off of the arena and she got mac ready to go.

she just didn't know what was happening outside in the arena and she was scared to know.
