(Reader POV)

I bolted upright, immediately regretting it. My side screamed in pain, causing me to gasp. I forgot about the cut. I got out of bed, heading for the desk drawer that contained a bottle of water. My fingers trembled as I fumbled with the cap, dropping it when I got it off. I took a quick drink before pouring the rest on my side. The bandage got soaked, but I didn't care. The water brought relief as it touched the cut, and I sighed, the sound escaping unbidden. Leo's figure stirred in the bed, arms reaching out for me. I smiled, climbing back in bed. Almost immediately, his arms went around me, pulling me close. I felt his face bury in my brownish-auburn hair, resting his lips against my neck. I rested my hand on his cheek, singing softly under my breath. I felt his lips spread wide, smiling. "You're not really asleep, are you?" I asked. No response. I continued singing, trying to get back to sleep, but it wouldn't come. I rolled onto my back, tilting my head to the side. I pressed my forehead against his, moving one hand to cover his, the other moving under his face. I gently pressed my lips to his before moving my head back onto my pillow. My eyes closed moments later.

I woke up a few hours later, screaming. When I realized I was in my quarters, I stopped screaming. 'Dang,' I thought. 'Two nightmares in one night. I just hope I didn't wake anyone up with that screaming.' Only then did I realize I was curled in Leo's arms. "Shh. It's okay. You're okay," he whispered. I buried my face in his chest, trying to calm myself down. Once I calmed down, I looked at him. "Did I wake you?" I asked before realizing it was day. "No. Although when you started calling out about half an hour ago, I was surprised. You never call out during sleep. You did scream a couple times, too. Percy, Annabeth, Hazel, Piper, and Jason came in here, seeing if you were okay. When they realized you were dreaming, they left without another question. I suppose they assumed I just got here first, hastily. He gestured at his bare chest. "I'm glad nobody asked," I said, moving my head back to kiss his jaw. I rested my head on his shoulder, pressing my face into his neck. He tilted his head down, looking at me. I turned my head, meeting my lips with his. I tasted sweat, salt, and salsa. He cupped my chin with his hand, holding me in place, as if I was going anywhere. He raked his teeth over my bottom lip, holding it between his as he pulled back. He released my lip before saying, "What were you dreaming about?" "I don't remember what the first one--" "The first one?!?!" He exclaimed. "Yerp. I didn't scream, so you didn't wake up," I explained. "And you didn't wake me up because...?" "Because I can take care of myself, and you're adorable when you're sleeping." "What was the other one about, the one you were screaming about?" He asked, smiling, probably because I'd called him adorable in sleep. I shook my head, not really wanting to tell him, but I knew he wouldn't stop bugging me if I didn't tell him. "You died in front of me." His smile disappeared. "She allowed me to talk to you for a few minutes, during which you kept fading in and out of consciousness." Tears started pricking at the back of my eyes. "That's probably why I was calling out. Then she took you from me, stabbing you in front of my eyes." The tears built up. "That's why I was screaming. I gathered your limp body against mine, pressing my face into your bloody chest, and she was just laughing and laughing. I think I yelled at her at one point, too." The tears were streaming out of my eyes. "Who's 'she'?" He asked, wiping the tears away. "Gaea," I whispered coldly. "She'd risen, going after you first." "Oh, baby," he said, pulling me against his chest. I pressed my face into his chest, glad this wasn't my dream. I felt his fingers underneath my chin, lifting my face. He gave me a tender look, and I kissed him.

I pressed closer to him, feeling his heartbeat against mine. I kissed him, my mouth frantic on his, urging a response. I pressed even closer to him trying to force my way into his mouth. I pressed so close to him, he fell backwards, hands resting on my hips. I pulled back, looking at him. "I was thinking this time," I whispered. "Me, too," he said, sitting up. He got up, pulling me after him. 'What is it with him and kissing me against a wall?' I questioned myself as he pressed me against the wall, his lips on mine. He licked my lip, causing me to open my mouth. His tongue slipped into my mouth, his hand pinning mine to the wall. His other hand made small, slow circles on my good side with his fingers. I moaned quietly, the sound escaping, only to be lost in his mouth. He pressed his mouth against mine, feverishly. I twisted the hand that was trapped against the wall, trying to get it free. He let my hand go, allowing me to wrap both arms around his neck. I bit his lip, breaking the delicate skin, allowing the taste of blood to mix in with our kiss. I pulled back, looking down at his chest. I took in the details, every crevice, every scar, so I could draw it after breakfast. I moved to kiss him again, but was interrupted by the breakfast bell. Leo moved, heading towards the door. I gave a short whistle, causing him to turn. I gestured at his chest. "Shirt," I said, simply. "Oh," he said, grabbing his shirt off the desk chair. He slipped it on, letting it settle on his shoulders before grabbing my hand. He gave me a quick kiss on the lips, before we headed to breakfast.
