"Amen," Rose said to the group before we all sat back down in the uncomfortable metal chairs. She met eyes with each individual member of the group before smiling at me. "Before we begin, let's give away our sobriety awards."

She reached down and grabbed a clipboard with a bag. "Park Jimin," she met the bubblegum pink haired male's eyes. "Congratulations on making it one entire month without drugs! Despite the couple moments of faltering, you have made it past the hardest part." She handed the male his one-month chip, which he took with a blush on his cheeks.

Rose sighed. "Kim Taehyung," she stated, looking at the male next to me. "You are one of the ones I am honestly surprised you made it over the hump. When you relapsed a mere two weeks into your recovery, I never thought I would see you again. Here you are, receiving your three month chip. Congratulations!"

I saw my boyfriend's eyes sparkle as Rose handed him his three month chip.

"Woo Ji-Ho, otherwise known as Zico," Rose's attention shifted to the long-haired male. "You have officially passed the sixth month mark as of yesterday! And that guy you wanted to impress is now your boyfriend. I couldn't be more proud of you and how far you have come. Congratulations!"

The routine continued for everyone in the group. For the participants who haven't hit one of the typical sobriety chip markers, Rose had taken the time to make her own to present. She never wanted any one person to go unrecognized.

After everyone had a chip but myself, Rose turned to me.

Her lips curved up into a large smile, the largest one I have ever seen her wear. "Finally, Jeon Jungkook. Out of everyone, you I am the most surprised about. You beat the odds. Two drug dealing parents and getting addicted to drugs at a young age to where you are now... at a point where you can officially say you are one year sober. I think I can speak for everyone when I say nobody expected you to make it to the finish line." Members of the group nodded and chuckled, including myself. I felt Taehyung reach over and squeeze my hand. Rose's eyes travelled to our connected hands. "I think you having somebody to hold you accountable is exactly what you needed to earn this chip. Congratulations on your one year of sobriety!"

Taehyung hollered and stood up, giving me a standard ovation of sorts. The group quickly followed until my face was burning red and my ears were ringing slightly from the loud cheering. Taehyung pecked my cheek, making me resist the urge to blush even more.

"Get whatever you want you two! Uncle Yoongi is buying," my best friend stated as we were handed our menus.

I scoffed. "Uncle? What the fuck, Yoon?"

The eldest laughed, shaking his head. "I don't know I think the age difference makes me feel like a parent, but since I hate the idea of being called 'dad', I figured 'uncle' is better."

"Ooh! Uncle Yoongi, can you take Jungkookie and I to the playground later? Mom told us no." Taehyung stated with a pout and a playful sparkle in his eyes.

Yoongi pursed his lips. "I hate hanging out with you two sometimes."

My boyfriend and I laughed before continuing to look at the menu.

The waitress brought over our complimentary wine samples, making Yoongi immediately shake his head. "Oh, um, sorry I forgot to mention we don't drink. We will pass on the samples, miss."

The woman looked confused, shaking her head. "Don't worry! It's all free. We just want you all to have a good time," she started to pour some wine into Yoongi's glass, making him furrow his eyebrows.

"I said no."

She continued to pour the wine, making Taehyung clear his throat.

"Look lady. I don't know who you think you are. Not everybody drinks. I know you're trying to fill us with alcohol so we'll tip you more. That shit isn't going to happen. I'm a recovering addict and can't drink. Get that crap off of our table."

The waitress' eyes grew wide and she nodded, taking the wine glasses off of our table.

Yoongi looked at us carefully. "You two okay? I know neither of you have been so close to any sort of substance since starting rehab."

I looked at Taehyung, a smile in his eyes as he looked at me in return.

"Honestly, I hated red wine even when I was an addict, so it's not as much of a problem. Now, margaritas are another story," Taehyung chuckled, making us laugh.

"I wish I could say that even if it was in front of me I wouldn't drink it, but my mouth was salivating just seeing it on the table," I admitted, watching both males' eyes soften at my confession. "But I've heard that the temptation will always be there. We just have to be stronger than our urges."

Yoongi nodded, raising his glass of water. "To strength," he said, Taehyung's and I's water glasses clinking against his.

"To strength."

The number of times I have to type "you all" instead of "y'all" because my Texan ass always types "y'all" first lol
