Neil and Prakash were sitting in the living room and were sipping their coffees silently, Neil couldn't take it anymore so he started the conversation.

Neil - Please tell me dad what's going on here ? I am really getting confuse now. What's your relation with Avni ? How you know her ?

Prakash - Mission  234. ( sighs ).

Neil - How you know about this mission ? Why Avni keeps on saying that this mission took everything from her ?

Prakash - Who led this mission Neil ? You know about him. Right ?

Neil - Of course, this mission was led by DCP Ashish Mehta. Though I wasn't fortunate enough to meet him, still I know alot of things about him. He is my role model, the epitome of bravery.

Prakash - Ashish was my friend, my brother and Avni is Ashish's daughter.

Neil - What ? ( shocked ).

Prakash - Yes Neil, Avni is the love child of Ashish and Ayesha but this sick society calls her illegitimate just because she is born out of wedlock.

Neil - Dad tell me everything.

Prakash -  Ashish and Ayesha were in relation since college days, Ayesha was an orphan and Ashish's family didn't accept Ayesha reason being her religion. Ashish went against his family and lived with Ayesha in a separate flat. Ashish promised Ayesha that he will marry her and finally Avni came into their lives as a blessing, they thought  that they will marry after the birth of Avni as Ashish was a busy person those days so they didn't get enough time to spend with Ayesha. Ayesha was having some complications with her pregnancy so she died after giving birth to Avni. Ashish was left shattered but he consoled himself as he was not alone, his daughter Avni was his responsibility. Ashish's mother is an arrogant lady and when she got to know about Ayesha's demise and Avni's birth, she decided to take advantage of Ashish's emotional condition. She called Ashish and told him that she will give love to Avni as she's her granddaughter and she apologizes to him. Ashish badly wanted a family for Avni where she can get proper love and care so he agreed. You know what Neil before joining his family Ashish used to handover Avni to me for the entire day and I used to work from home along with managing two kids one was you and other was Avni, I had a feeling as if god have blessed me with a daughter as well. After your mother's demise, I was all alone but you both filled my life with happiness. Ashish's mom acted as if Avni was her life and she can do anything for her and Ashish believed her act as Avni was an adorable child who can gain anyone's love, little did he know that his mother would never change. She manipulated him by saying that Avni will strive for mother's love so he should get married to the daughter of her business partner Gyatri  as Avni will get motherly care and affection from her, Ashish didn't want to move on from Ayesha but for Avni he agreed as he didn't want to make her suffer. Gyatri was an amazing partner for Ashish but she treated Avni harshly. Time skipped Avni was 5 years old when Gyatri was expecting her first child but she suffered miscarriage due to that her accusations and harshness over Avni increased. She used to accuse her for being a sin child, illegitimate and used to beat her at such tender age. Same goes with Ashish's mother, both of them used to torture Avni when Ashish was not at home but in front of Ashish they used to treat her very kindly. I was their neighbour, you were in boarding school so Avni used to come to my home daily, I never knew that there was a hidden sadness behind her beautiful smile that can melt anyone's heart. Years passed, mine and Avni's bond became strong but I wasn't having any idea regarding Avni's vulnerability. Everyone in her home except Ashish treated her like a trash. Even her step sister Rhea used to treat her badly as Gyatri had filled her mind against Avni. On day I saw a bruise on Avni's leg, when I questioned her about the same she told me that it's nothing serious but it arose a seed of doubt in my mind. So I started to observe her actions and one day I finally got to see the whole scenario when Gyatri was beating Avni mercilessly. Avni came into my house and I confronted her, she broke out in front of me and pleaded me to not tell anything to Ashish.  I was stubborn enough to listen to her pleadings. I told Ashish  about the incident took place in afternoon and he was fuming in anger. He barged into his house and slapped Gyatri, he confronted everyone there and gave them a last warming. For some days everything was going well as Ashish was the protector of Avni. I had to leave that place as you were very ill Neil so I had to look after you. That day I met Avni for the last time and she gave me the title of superman uncle. ( chuckles ).  After I was gone Ashish went for Mission 234 against drug dealers  but lost his life in that mission. Due to that Avni's last hope of survival died and her sufferings increased. When I got to know about this I badly wanted to go there and took her in my arms showering all the fatherly love and care I have for for but your health was not good Neil. After 2 years I went there and found that Avni have left her house and no one knew where she was. After all they all were happy. I tried alot to find her but failed miserably. ( Tears escaped from his eyes ).

Even Neil's eyes welled up after  listening  Avni's story and he was determined enough to help her.

Prakash - Neil I know that it's not easy to bring back that old innocent Avni from this broken girl but we can try. All she needed is love and care.

Neil- Dad I will help you in this. I won't allow her to exploit herself more.

Prakash - Thanks Neil.

Neil - No need dad, you tell me about her likes and dislikes after that we will think about something that will help her in recovering fast.

Prakash tells him everything and he listens carefully as he wanted to help her in recovering fast.
