Naina - ( *gulping* ) Apko bahut saari baate nahi pata hai Sameer. Hum dono ke asli naam, hum pehle kaha rehte the, humara past, kya hua tha tab, kuch nahi. But I guess ab time aachuka hai ki apko sab kuch pata chale ki asliyat kya hai.

Sameer - Toh tum yeh keh rahi ho ki mujhe aaj tak tumhare baare mein jo kuch bhi pata chala hai wo sab jhoot hai?

Naina - Sab nahi bas kuch kuch baate

Sameer - Jaise ki?

Naina - Mera naam?

Sameer -( *sighed* ) Matlab almost sab

Naina - Par batati hun na main kya sach hai

Sameer - Aur koi option bhi nahi hai tumhare paas. Toh batao sab kuch aur is baar kuch jhoot nahi hona chahiye

Naina - Chinta mat kijiye is baar sab sach kahungi

Taking a deep breath, Naina closed her eyes and going into the flashback, started her story.

Naina - Naina pehle mera nick name tha aur jise apne dekha wo hai meri twin Sunaina. Aur mera real name tha Candle aur uska Candice aur hum dono Russia mein rehte the apni family ke saath but fir kuch aisa hua jiski wajah se mujhe Russia chhoddna pada aur use mera naam aur meri identity mil gayi isliye usne apna naam Candice se change karke candle rakh liya.

Thinking about her, Naina clutched the bedsheet even harder and gritted her teeth. Sameer seeing this, kept his hand on her shoulder to calm her down and sat peacefully beside her waiting for her to forward with the story.

Naina - 10 saal pehle ki baat hai jab candle ne hamari finally ko hamesha ke liye tod diya tha

Sameer - Candle ne? Naina ek minute bahut confusion create ho raha hai toh tum candle candice ki jagah apne nick names hi use kar lo

Naina - ( *Sighed* ) Thik hai

Naina - Sunaina aur main tab 10 saal ke the. She was a spoilt brat aur hamesha hi kuch ulte pulte cheezo ki maang karti rehti thi jiski wajah se kayi baar mom and dad ne usko daanta bhi tha aur kayi baar jo cheez ki maang wo karti thi wo use nahi milti thi that's why she used to envy me kyunki main jo bolti thi wo mujhe mil jata tha

Sameer - Favourite child?

Naina - Nahi reasonable demands. Kyunki uski tarah I was not a brat. Use movies dekhna bahut pasand tha. Itna zyaada ki jab wo koi movie dekhti thi tab 1-2 dino tak usi movie ke main character ki tarah behave karti thi. Her favourite was psycho and murder movies. Ek point tak yeh sab theek bhi tha but with time uska obsession badhta gaya aur wo dheere dheere khatarnaak banti gayi. Ab tak toh wo shayad poori pagal ban chuki hogi.

Naina - Aur usi pagalpan ke chalte usne hamare kuch neighbours ko bhi attack and injure kar diya tha.

Sameer - ( *astonisheed* ) Itni choti umar se?

Naina - Haan. All of us tried to keep her away from anything that would trigger such behaviour.
But woh hamesha koi na koi raasta nikaal leti thi apni man maani karne ki.
Aur fir aya hum dono ka birthday wala din, and it still is the darkest day of my life.

Sameer - Uncle aur aunty ki death bhi tumhare birthday wale din hi hui thi na?

Sameer was confused in the beginning but then realisation hit him and his eyes got widened in shock.

Sameer - Tumhare kehne ka matlab hai candle?! Matlab Sunaina ne?!

Naina - ( *gulping* ) Haan! Pata nahi kaha se usne ek movie dekhi thi tab jisme main character ek assassian tha jiski wajah se wo mom and dad se gun ki maang karne lag gayi. Jab dad ne use ek fake gun di tab usne usko fek kar kaha ki use fake nahi real gun chahiye. Aur of course uski age and pagalpan ko dekhkar dad ne mana kar diya kyunki he was sure ki Sunaina zaroor kisika murder kar degi. Par yeh baat use pasand nahi ayi and that's when things took a turn.

Flashback :

Sunaina - Dad mujhe fake nahi real gun chahiye!

Rakesh - I said NO!

Sunaina - But kyun?

Rakesh - Tumne age dekhi hai apni? And my decision is final and tumhe kuch nahi milega that's the only punishment you should get aur kitni baar kaha hai maine tumhe wo movies mat dekha karo they are pointless and surreal.

Sunaina - No dad they are real. Every incident is real.

Running back to her room she brought back a few film cassettes that weren't even recommended for her age and were containing a lot of gruesome scenes.

Sunaina - Dad bas dekhiye in movies ko ek baar, I bet they are real

Rakesh gasped seeing those and immediately snatched them away from her hand.

Rakesh - Enough of this! Aur tumhari age nahi hui hai aise movies dekhne ki they will have a bad impact on you

Sunaina - NO THEY WILL NOT!

Rakesh - YES THEY WILL!

Sunaina - NO....

Rakesh - ( *cutting in* ) CANDICE ROSALIN D'SOUZA END OF CONVERSATION! Aur ( *looking at the cassettes* ) is sab ki wajah yahi hai na? Main fir wajah ko hi mita deta hun

Saying this he immediately opened the window and without thinking for a second time threw them out of the window.

Sunaina - DAD NO!

Naina - Dad!

Right then a vehicle was passing by which ran over the cassettes crushing them down. Sunaina was shocked by this and not being able to divert her mind, kept looking at her favourite cassettes that were now crushed into pieces.

Rakesh - Now itna dukhi hone ki koi zaroorat nahi hai. Let's not waste this evening and resume the celebration. Rama, Naina, Sunaina chalo cake kaatna hai.

Rama - ( *keeping a hand on Sunaina's shoulder* ) Beta chalo itna bhi dukhi hone wali baat nahi hai

Saying this three of them walked towards the table followed by Sunaina to cut the cake. Sunaina was looking lifeless and seeing her like this everyone felt bad but they were helpless. This was a lesson that she badly needed.

Rakesh - Time to see your gifts!
( *Taking out an encyclopedia* ) Naina yeh lo tumhara gift

As soon as Naina saw it, her eyes lit up and taking it from his hand instantly she started jumping up and down in joy.

Naina - Thank you so much dad aap ko yaad tha? Apko pata bhi nahi hai yeh kitna important hai mere liye

Rakesh - ( *chuckled* ) Yaad kaise nahi hoga? Aaj tak kabhi aisa hua hai ki tumne kuch maanga aur maine na diya ho?

Hearing this Sunaina clenched her jaw and fisted her hand out of her anger.
Naina was over the moon happy but soon her eyes fell on Sunaina and she noticed how sad she was looking, so she did the only thing that she felt could cheer her up at that moment.

Naina - Sunaina tu dukhi kyun ho rahi hai? Koi baat nahi na yeh encyclopedia dekh rahi hai? Hum dono milke padh sakte hain ise. ( *handed it to her* )

Rakesh - ( *proudly* ) Dekh rahi ho? Isliye main hamesha kehta hun Naina se kuch seekho aur agar tum bhi uski tarah kuch achi cheez maangti toh zaroor mil jati. Par nahi. Anyways, that why she is the best. Right?

Diverting her gaze from her father, Sunaina looked at the encyclopedia that Naina had handed her.

Sunaina - ( *To herself* ) Naina is the best! Mujhe kuch seekhna chahiye us se but seekhungi tab na jab wo zinda rahegi.

Whispering this to herself, Sunaina smiled evilly and fisting the book tightly swung it in the air, slamming Naina's head with it and throwing her to the other side of the room. Rakesh and Rama were shocked to the core seeing this.

Rama - Sunaina! Are you out of your mind? Maarna chahti ho apni behen ko? What the hell is wrong with you?

Rakesh - ( *yanked her* ) Sunaina bahut hogayi tumhari mann maani aur aaj toh hadd hi kardi tumne pagal hogayi ho kya? You are not my daughter anymore!

Just then Naina called both of the them with her weak voice from the other side of the room and as soon as they heard her they rushed towards her to help her.

Naina - ( *Forehead was bleeding* ) Dad! Mom!

Rama - ( *panicking* ) Please jaldi doctor ko call kijiye. Hume jaldi patti karni hogi iske forehead ki. Nahi toh wo behosh ho jaegi. Jaldi please kuch kijiye

Rakesh - Haan ek minute tum itna panick mat karo main karta hun kuch.

Sunaina - ( *Still standing on the other side of the room* ) ( *whispering to herself* ) If am not your daughter anymore. Then aap log bhi aajse mere parents nahi hai. Toh fir I won't suffer anything anymore aur jo sab bhi apne kaha hai I'll make you regret it.

Whispering this to herself, Sunaina ran back to her room and again came back after a few minutes. Meanwhile, Rakesh was still trying to contact the doctor but the line was busy. Hearing the footsteps for the first time, he didn't pay any attention to them thinking that probably Sunaina had run back to her room because of feeling bad but when the second time he again heard her coming back to the room, he looked up towards her to know what she was upto. And the moment he did, his mind stopped working seeing her holding a hammer.

Rakesh - Sunaina uske saath kya kar rahi ho? Hammer ko phek do! I said hathode ko phek do Sunaina wo bacho ke khelne ki cheez nahi!

Saying this Rakesh ran forwarded towards her to take the hammer out of her hand but the moment he came within her reach, she picked up the hammer and like any psychopath would do, swung it with full force and hit her dad's head instantly making him unconscious. Seeing this Rama ran towards her to slap her and help her husband but before she could do that, she too was engulfed in Sunaina's rage. Sunaina injured her parents, making them unconscious but as if this wasn't enough, she kept hitting them again and again until they were dead. Blood was dripping down from the hammer and Naina was still sitting on her place on the other side of the room, utterly shocked and not being able to believe what she had just witnessed. Her own 11 year old sister had just murdered their parents making both of them orphans.

Sunaina - ( *smirking evilly* ) And now comes my most awaited part. Finally main tujhe maar paungi, itne time se soch rahi thi ki why you can't just get out of our lives par ab finally wo ichha puri hone ja rahi hai.

Saying this Sunaina ran across the room with the hammer in her hand to murder Naina but before she could do that Naina, out of panic, threw the vase kept on the table at her, which directly crashed with her forehead, making it bleed and forming a cut mark. Seeing the blood, Sunaina got even more violent and gripping the hammer even tighter ran towards her again but luckily because of being the same height as her, Naina dodged it and before she could give another blow, grabbed her shoulders and pushed her away with all the strength she had because of which Sunaina went flying to the other corner of the room, temporarily knocking her out. Taking advantage of this opportunity, Naina steadied herself and ran as fast as her legs could carry her. Escaping the house, she started running for her life but it wasn't long before she came in front of a car getting almost crushed by it, but thankfully the car stopped at the right time and from it came her both uncles and aunties running to help her.

Taiji - ( *pinicking* ) Naina beta kya hua tujhe? Yeh chot kaise lagi?

Naina - ( *crying and stammering* ) Ta-Taiji da-dad m-mom

Chachaji - Haan beta bol kya hua bhaisahab aur bhabhiji ko?

Tauji - Aur beta teri yeh halat kaise hui aur Sunaina kaha hai?

As soon as she heard her name, Naina started panicking and crying even more, but finally after trying a lot, she succeeded in getting the words out of her mouth.

Naina - Su-sunaina ne mom aur dad ko attack karke maar dala

Everyone was hell shocked on hearing this, and couldn't believe their ears.

Chachiji - Bhagwan jhoot na bulaye beta kya bol rahi hai tu? Sunaina?

Naina - Haan Chachiji main sach bol rahi hun Sunaina ne mom and dad ko maar dala aur wo mujhe bhi maarne aa rahi hi but main use behosh karke bhaag ayi.

But unfortunately the moment Naina said this, sunaina came out of the house running and screaming, with the bloody hammer in her hand which confirmed what she had done.

Sunaina - You brat! I'll kill you today!

Though Sunaina had gotten weak because of the head injuries she has received from Naina, she still was determined to kill her.
Turning towards her, Sunaina clutched the hammer even tighter and with full speed started running towards Naina to end her life. But fortunately before she could do it, tauji caught her hand, and snatching the hammer, held her tightly, refraining her from moving or using her hands but she still kept fidgeting in his hold, screaming swearing words and behaving like a complete psycho.

Flashback ends.

Burying her head in Sameer chest, Naina kept crying her eyes out and expressing emotions that she had buried deep inside her from ages. Meanwhile Sameer was quite shocked by the story and felt sorry for whatever Naina had to go through from such a young age, but there were many questions arising in Sameer's mind right now one of them being "who are her chacha and chachi?" . After coming to a better state, Naina again continued her story.

Naina - Uske baad, waha police agayi aur Sunaina ko waha se lagayi. Apparently, meri vajah se jab dad ne doctor ko call lagaya tha, tab waha Sunaina aa gayi thi par tab tak doctor uncle ne bhi call uthakar hamari saari baate sun li thi aur immediately police ko call kar diya tha. Mummy papa ke murder case mein, Sunaina jail hogayi par uske underage hone ki wajah se use juvenile centre mein rakhne ka faisla hua jab tak ki wo 18 ki na ho jaye.

Sameer - Par ek minute tumne apne chacha chachi ke baare mein mention kiya tha par mujhe jaha tak pata hai tumhare toh sirf Tauji aur Taiji hi hain na?

Naina - Wo actually Sunaina ke jail jaane ke baad bhi bahut cheeze hui thi jiski wajah se meri puri family ko Russia chhoddna pada aur apni identity change karni padi. Aur mere chacha chachi bhi hain. Aur unki ek beti bhi hai

Sameer - Aur mujhe aisa kyun lag raha hai ki unki beti ko main jaanta hun?

Naina - Haan jaante hain aap. Preeti hi hai unki beti. Preeti asal mein meri behen hi hai par kisi wajah se hum yeh kisiko bata nahi pate. Aur isi wajah se hum sab aise pretend karte hain jaise hum ek family hain hi nahi aur jaise Preeti bas meri dost hai behen nahi.

Sameer - Aur wo reason kya hai?

Naina - Wo yeh hai ki.....
