"Ugh, why do we have to come with? It's Jaemin's date, not ours." Mark complains once again, probably for the fifth time by now as he was chilling on the living room couch.

Yuta chuckles when Jaemin huffs with a roll of his eyes, "it's not a date." He grits his teeth, laptop placed atop on his thighs while his fingers pause in midair, previously typing on the keyboard.

"He's not entirely wrong," Yuta joins in, carrying a file that Johnny has sent them earlier this morning. "It's not a date yet." Emphasizing the last part just to annoy the youngest in the room.

Mark grins as he lets the elder man continue, "Haeun said we should start off with a group gathering or something, to get to know each other more."

"Also because Jaemin's supposed lover is still a bit shy, Yeeun had claimed." Yuta adds on, snickering when Jaemin immediately reacts to his words.

The younger boy snaps his head up, gaze switching from his blinding laptop screen to Yuta's grinning face. "He's not my lover." Scowling in return.

"Last time I checked, he is. Your pretty little fiancé." Mark cackles at the end due to Jaemin's face starting to heat up, a color angry red.

"Okay, let him be for now, Mark. He'll eventually calm down later once Jeno kisses him or something," Yuta winks at a laughing Mark.

Jaemin clenches his hands, "I'll shoot you both right now if have to."

Raising both of his hands up on the air in surrender, Yuta shrugs his shoulders. "Someone's cranky today." He mumbles with a teasing smile.

Groaning, Jaemin tries to ignore him but soon listens again anyway because Yuta starts announcing something.

"Johnny sent this earlier," waving the folder he's holding to emphasize. "It's just Jaemin's enrollment and school shit information though." Calmly throwing the file onto the coffee table.

Mark was the first one to reach out for it, opening the file and scanning the papers carefully. "Damn, they're fast with this." He mutters.

With a nod of agreement from Yuta, Jaemin decides to place his laptop on the side and stands up to grab the folder that's actually meant for him.

Yuta opens his water bottle to take a drink, "well, since you're older than him and the same age as his sister, you share some classes with her."

Hearing that, Jaemin sighs in relief but clicks his tongue when Yuta continues on. "But don't flirt with her, idiot. Your target is Jeno." He knowingly says.

"Just befriend her and that's it, ask about Jeno as if you're asking for dating advice. Then do all that shit while paying attention for some valuable information about their family's business."

Jaemin starts grumbling incoherent words, glaring at his enrollment papers intently, wishing it would randomly set on fire at some point.

"You're so grumpy about him, just be grateful we got through the first part and got you matched up with one of Lee's children." Mark clicks his tongue, noticing Jaemin's attitude.

It's not that much of a secret, atleast for them anyways. Mark and Yuta had been trying to hide Jaemin's rude intentions as much as possible.

Jaemin could only huff in response, too annoyed to utter a word. "Listen, just be professional, will you? Johnny's watching our every move to make sure what type of members we are and hopefully won't fuck this big opportunity up."

Sighing, he only nods back at Mark. Not wanting to argue with him too much today as the elder boy seems to be getting angry as well.

Yuta glances at his watch wrapped around his wrist, "we should probably head off now, I'll go start the car." Standing up and pauses to look at Mark.

"Don't even try." Pointing his forefinger at the younger man, the latter now pouting as he silently sulks.

Glancing at Jaemin, he sighs deeply. "You too." Earning nothing but a mere smile from the raven haired boy.

"We're so glad you guys came," Haeun giggles while setting up the food to display on the picnic table.

The Lee family has decided to gather them at a peaceful and a bit secluded lake area, wanting to get some fresh air to clear their minds too.

Although they're at the lake, none of them are unfortunately planning to go swimming or take a dip in the cold water.

However, fear not as it's just their second meet up together. Maybe next time anyway, when they're closer than now especially between the two certain youths.

Speaking of, there's two picnic tables around that they've claimed once they got here.

One is for the adults, and the second one is obviously for the teenagers.

However, Yeeun is contemplating if; she should move to their parents' table to give her brother and... Future brother-in-law (that's still weird to hear for her) some space and time together.

Or; sit with them and accompany her younger brother, low-key eyeing at the raven haired boy as if he's one of those boys at school.

"So, Jaemin." She speaks up before her younger brother could even greet his fiancé. The said boy looking up to meet her gaze, his frown slightly turning into a small smile.

"We're in the same grade," she mentions first, then raising a daring eyebrow at Jaemin as if she's testing him. "I heard we share some classes too."

"Indeed we do," Jaemin answers with a single nod of his head. Jeno across from him, sitting beside his elder sister blinks at them.

"But don't bother me too much," Yeeun firmly said out of a sudden. Noticing the mere confusion written on Jaemin's face, she rolls her eyes.

As she was about to explain, Jeno nudges her side with a small pout on his lips. "Noona, don't scare him off." He mumbles, Jaemin can hear a bit of it but chose not to say anything.

Yeeun huffs in response, "I'm just saying. He should atleast bother you more than me. No offense, not sending you to a wolf or anyth–"

She stops when Jeno nudges her again, "okay, fine." Surrending to him, going quiet just so Jeno can talk to his fiancé.

"I'm going to take a walk, call me when we're gonna eat." She announces and leaves the table the next second.

Jeno nods, before turning to look at Jaemin. His eyesmile adorning his face in an instant, "how have you been, Jaemin hyung?" He asks.

Just by looking at the elder youth, Jeno starts to flush in a light shade of pink, from the tip of his ears to his squishy cheeks.

However, he gets flustered when Jaemin's response turns out to be different from what he had expected it to be.

"You can quit the act."

Hearing that, the blond haired boy blinks at him in confusion. "Eung?" Tilting his head to the side, a little uncomfortable with Jaemin's cold tone but he shrugs it off nonetheless.

Jaemin only grunts on his spot, fiddling with his phone on the table with his hand. "You can cancel this," he gestures between them with his free hand. "Anytime."

Furrowing his eyebrows, Jeno takes a second to understand what he meant before he starts giggling loudly.

So loud that the adults glance at them, Haeun having a fond smile when she saw her youngest child giggling.

Although, she didn't have time to see Jaemin's annoyed face.

Because Mark had gave the raven haired boy a look just in time for him to stretch his lips into a smile, directly at Jeno in order to seem like a happy moment.

"Don't worry, hyung." Jeno manages to say between giggles. "I'm not faking anything," calming down soon after.

Jaemin bites his inner cheek, wanting to say something (probably offensive) but Jeno was already leaning closer to the table, resting his chin on his palm.

"Let's get to know each other more, Jaemin hyung." So sweet and genuine, that Mark gives the raven haired boy another look.

And with that, Jaemin sighs and starts off their "conversation" with a simple (personally for him, it's lame) question. "What are your hobbies?"
