Yes, that intro was a Dragonsheep reverence, hah.
So, yesterday, my grandmother and I went to Barnes and Noble and got "A Guide to the Dragon World".
I've read ALMOST all of it in the course of about twelve hours or so, and today, I'm going to share with you some of my theories and thoughts on it, as well as some things I like about it.

Just to let you know, you may or may not agree with all of my opinions, but that's okay.
As long as you respect my opinions, I respect yours.
Let's begin!
Also sorry about the bad photos, I did my best, I promise.

The cover's pretty cool, first of all.
I like how it pops out kind of like a puffy sticker, it makes the dragons stand out more.
I kind of expected it to be a bendable paperback, but I like it better hardcover.
I'm also happy to have gotten it shortly after it came out, that's not usually something I'm goood at, lol.

If you've been keeping up with the leaks, you've probably already seen pictures of the new portraits that Joy Ang made for the book.
I've been trying to avoid looking at the leaks because I wanted to be surpirsed, and I'm glad I waited.

I love Joy Ang's art and it never fails to amaze me.

Here are some of my favorite things mentioned in the guide.
These aren't bombshells, they're just things that I thought were funny, cute, or cool, even if they aren't important.
I couldn't share all of my pictures because Wattpad as an image limit -_-

The Guide includes side nates from the DoD, as well as a few from Fatespeaker and burn-marks from Peril.

The Seawings have a scroll basically called, "Aquatic for Dummies".

The moons are named Oracle, Perception, and Imperial. This is something I've been curious about for a while, so that's neat!

Glorybringer returns with this interveiw by Deathbringer!

And also, THE RETURN OF MAGICAL DEATHSPIT!

The only the Tsunami wrote for the project.

Cake exists in Pyrrhia, as it's discussed by Turtle in a letter.
I guess this isn't so surprising; everybody loves cake, right?

DRAGON SHAKESPEARE?!

There's a letter by Mink, begging to come to Jade Mountain! If you've been reading my fabfictions, you know that a while ago, I wrote a short-story about Mink going to JMA when she's older, so this is surprising. I wonder . . .

We get the full lyrics of Cliff's Skywing song!
I want to find out if you could really play this on a piano. You probably could!

In the chapter about Leafwings, six different Leafwing characters talk about their favorite books, and look who made the list!

This is, of course, the canon Mandrake, no necissarily the one who shows up in my book, "Heart of Oak", but still.

Okay, now we've come to the really interesting things in the guide, things that could pop up again later in the series.

Apparentally, the Mudwing succession crisis makes Morhen just as royal as Thorn, which is to say, not at all, really!
I wonder how many of the other tribes are like this, and wether anyone knows.

There are letters from Queen Lagoon to Albatross.
They don't reveal anything new, other than possibly hinting that Albatross might have set up an "accident" for his wife to avoid haveing animus dragonets.

There's an unsent message from Python, the sister of Andaconda, the Rainwing queen during Darkstalker's life.

In "Darkstalker Legends", Queen Lagoon says, "It would be useful to have another animus in the tribe, especially in light of the things we're hearing that the Rainwings and Mudwings are doing."
That suggests that not only were they once intimidating, but were also considered enough of a threat for Lagoon to find an animus a worthy asset in war.
So what happened to change that? Did a peace-treaty deem training pointless? Were the new queens simply to careless to keep it up?

There's a secton on some of the things Sunny found in Burn's Weirdling Tower. In it, it mentions a fish tank that containing dangerous sea creatures, including,"Something that looks like an octopus with way too many arms".
Could this be one of the Krakens we see on the maps?

Or could this possibly be the long lost Blob?

The secton also talks about a white wingless dragon that Sunny thought could be a Silkwing, but it only had two wing-buds.
Could it be a member of a new tribe? Or could it just be a deformed Silkwing?

I want to learn more about Caribou. The Icewing songs sing about her "kindness and empathy".

This dragon named after Caribou might show up again.

A fourth arc character, maybe?

Queen Monarch was actually not a bad queen.
I guess I though she was sort of stupid before, but she really did care about the Silkwings and I feel bad for her.

We get more info on Hivewing abilities!

According to one of the prphecies in the Book of Clearsight, two Leafwings twins born during the rein of Queen Zellkova are vital to avoiding a civil war between the tribes. Hmm.

You know the krakens on the maps that I mentioned earlier? Well, in this entry to the Book, Clearsight confirms that they're real!

The Pantalan dragons evolved from Seawings and Rainwings!
Or . . . probably???

I'm guessing that the Leafwings were different back then, along with all of the other tribes, and they interbred with the other tribes, giving us the Leafwings we know today.
Could this be part of why Freedom looked so weird?

And that's all for now!
I'll let you guys know if I have anymore theoriies to share, and I'll see you next time!
