Sunny landed on the silky lavender grass of the meadow below Jade Mountain, ignoring the stack of unfinished papaerwork that she carried with her as she inhaled the calm midnight air.
She closed her eyes and listened to the sounds of the hour: the soft coo of a dove from a nearby Birch, the lapping of water over pebbles, the final drizzle of dew on the side of the mountain.
She opened her eyes.
Two moons were full that night, their azure hues illuminated the droplets of rain that blanketed the field.
Sunny let out a giggle, rolling on her back, flinging her golden wings to the side, as she filled her lungs with the breath of the star-lit plants.

"Oh, well, hello there."

A translucent newcomer was standing over her - or, at least, Sunny thought she was standing, until she realized that she was floating above the greenery.
Her wings sparkled like dark diamonds and she glowed like an undersea anemone.

"Whoa, hi!", Sunny said in a rather dazed vouce.
"Who are you?"

"I am blue", the stranger said breezily.
"As blue as the evening and as bright as the young moon. I am Whiteout.
Your scales are made of sunshine, but you too are blue. You are Sunny."

For today's Drawtober prompt, I decided to draw Whiteout's spirit meeting Sunny!
I tried painting the mountains, but I don't know what I'm doing, but, eh, it looks good, I guess.
I wanted it to look like the two of them were related, so I gave both of them FRECKLES!
I am far from the only person to give Sunny freckles, but I really like the headcannon.
Unfortunately, I wasn't able to do everything I wanted to for this piece because I planed it somewhat late, but I think it looks good anyway.

I'm not quite sure what I'm doing next.
At some point -I think during the second part of Drawtober- the daily prompt is "Witch", and I'm not sure who I should draw; either Orca, Queen Diamond, or Anemone.
