"This should be the place..." Badgerclops mumbled as he looked around. This seemed to be the place alright.

When he had gotten the tip from Orangusnake, he had been skeptical at first. The Sky Pirate captain would do anything to take the Pure Heart for his own, and he didn't trust him enough to blindly believe the information he had been given.

However, what kind of hero would he be if he didn't look into this? Villain or not, Orangusnake had asked for his help, and Badgerclops wanted to do what he could for everyone, even if they had done bad stuff to him before.

"Alright, time to go in..." he mumbled. "It's a scary cave, but I can do this."

He was NOT scared of a cave. He had gone through worse; this was nothing compared to that.

He inhaled. He could do this. He was going to come out of this alive. Yep, no more hesitation. Time to go.

With that, he stepped into the cave, ready for the worst.

Little did he know that he was heading into something so unexpected he would have laughed at the mere suggestion of; love.

The cave was quite deep, but Badgerclops had the directions Orangusnake had noted down after coming to this place, so he soon found his way into the so-called lab, where...

He gasped. It was a mammal... No, a wolf, to be exact.

And what a peculiar wolf it was, especially considering that it was currently sleeping in a pod. White luscious fur dotted with blue highlights floated in the water, while a pair of orange goggles was covering its eyes. Sharp talons were placed to its side, and little bubbles proved that it was still alive.

Of course it was. The scientist wasn't around either, so that was good. He could rescue the poor thing now!

He rushed to the control panel nearby and began messing around with the buttons. He had to be quick, he knew, but it would be worth it, hopefully.

TING!

After pressing a small blue button, he heard water gushing out of the tank as it began to drain out of the cylinder, eventually leaving the wolf inside before opening the tank.

Badgerclops quickly rushed ahead and carried the other, getting a boost of energy as adrenaline kicked in and he rushed out of the cave, unaware of a stray strand of his fur falling onto the ground.

When the scientist got back, they would see that their creation was gone, and they weren't going to be happy about it one bit.

That strand of hair, would provide them a way back to their experiment.
