The first part of chapter is a few months before the present, which is the day before Iris left. Iris is 15 and Evelyn 17, just so you know 😉.

POV: Iris

Tomorrow, I'm leaving to do research on my sister. I don't know who she is but I'm sure if I look for info on her that I'll remember. I'm not leaving the guild, but I'll do research at different cities while my close friend is on jobs. "Hey Iris." Evelyn greets, breaking me out of my train of thought. "WAH! Oh, hey Eve." I say, shocked. Eve just chuckles in response to my shock. "Hey, wanna go on a job? Need to pay rent, ya know?" Evelyn asks. "Umm, how long is the job?" I question. "A week about. Why?" She answers. "Oh, then sorry I can't make it." I state sadly. "Oh umm ok?" Eve replies with confusion. The dark haired girl then walks off to go on her job, while I stay in the guild hall. Tomorrow I'll head out.

-One Month Later-

Eve and I are hanging out in the guild hall, eating some pizza. "Hey, wanna go out on a job? We haven't gone on one in awhile." Evelyn asks. "Sorry, can't, I'm -" I start but get cut off by an aggravated Eve. "BUSY. Like you have been ALL MONTH!!! What's been up with you lately?! You have been 'busy' doing ... well I don't know what because YOU WON'T TELL ME, YOUR CLOSEST FRIEND!" Eve shouts. "Shut up Eve!" Gajeel shouts. "SHUT YOURSELF UP METAL HEAD!!" Eve yells back. Then they go at each other, like usual. Juvia then puts them both in bubbles to stop them, and I was enjoying the show. So ... I kinda ... tackle her. Juvia's bubbles popped and the three of us were fighting. Until Master came down 😁😁. Eve turned into a shadow because she's a Shadow Dragon Slayer and doesn't want to get into trouble with Master. "Eve get back here!! You were part of the fight too!!!" I whisper-yell. Master got mad but brought only me to his office. He ... KICKED ME OUT OF THE GUILD?!?! Master said it was because I haven't gone on any jobs in awhile and half of the money we earn on jobs is given to him & the guild which basically pays for our membership in the guild. Soooo I owe him a LOT of money, and forgot to pay him because I was focusing on researching my sister. He told me not to tell anyone he kicked me out and say nothing to my guild mates. So, that's what I did. I guess that'll make it easier to find my sister so... When I walk out I ignore everyone and see Evelyn eating a piece of pizza, forgetting she's still a shadow. I hear her say something to herself, "I wonder what he wanted her for..." then took another bite of pizza. Soon, I'm already outside the guild hall and luckily no one noticed me walk out. Little did I know it was not the last time I'd see them from inside the guild hall......
