Long Feedback

It'd be a crime not to start with that beautiful image! That image is absolutely gorgeous, and it caught my attention when I first clicked on it to judge. I normally judge covers by starting with first impressions and doing quick skims, writing down my first thoughts, and then moving on and returning later for a more in-depth review, but I had to stop when I saw this image because I wanted to keep staring at it. I love the way the sunlight shines over the two figures, as if acting as a beacon of hope. Considering it's positioned right under the title card, with the title being "The Best Mistakes," there are many interpretations reader can take away. Maybe we can see the sunlight as a reflection of the characters learning from their mistakes, hence why the word "best" is in the title. I'm just throwing out possible interpretations and I'm not saying that's 100% what you wanted to do, but the fact that we can even think about these kinds of things is awesome! There's lots of subtext to unpack here that makes the cover more interesting and unique, and a lot of that stems from the well-chosen picture.

The next thing I'd like to discuss is the awesome font and also the placement of the text. Like I mentioned before, the text being above the sunlight was a good decision, giving the sun its own space to shine (no pun intended) while also giving more than enough space for the title to feel super important and like the main character.  I love, love, love the cursive shadows you gave each word. It's beautiful and aesthetic, and I can't overstate how much I adore that decision. Even though you have a gorgeous image, I keep looking back at the title because the font is just as beautiful if not more so, and that's quite a feat.

Another one of my favorite parts of this cover is the overall cute, wholesome aesthetic it has, hinting at the romance inside. It definitely reflects the "Best Mistakes" title well. Like I mentioned in the first paragraph, it feels like the sun is a reflection of love and hope, and I think that applies for the rest of the cover. The sparkles around the cover add a nice visual flair that gives the cover a cute, wholesome aesthetic that only adds to the rest of its beauty, and I loved that!

Lastly, the concept and atmosphere you were going for were executed extremely well. Everything about this cover feels cohesive and like it clearly builds toward a theme and visual style. The visual hierarchy is fantastic and doesn't make the reader feel overwhelmed. It's a nice balance between stuff to look at and some space so we can admire what's already there.

All in all, The Best Mistakes has a beautiful cover that reflects the story well. You can draw many conclusions from it based on the various pieces of subtext surrounding the cover, and I really liked other elements like the font and text placement. It's overall an awesome cover that will draw in a bunch of readers!
