"You must really hate water... " Alisha mumbled.

"Of course, I almost died after drowning in water, " Skyler replied.

Alisha's eyes lit up. Seven years of friendship and she still didn't seem to know anything about him yet.

She wanted to know more about him. In that moment, that was all that mattered.

Just one attempt. She wanted to make just one attempt in seven years to know him better...

Eight years ago

"A blue rose? Why would you get this for me? You know that I hate blue!" A certainly ill-tempered lady snapped at a five-year-old Skyler as she ripped apart the rose.

She was Skyler's mom, not step mother or anything, biological mother.

"Move, " she said angrily as she made her way to the kitchen.

A blue rose... means unattainable. To Skyler, his mom was truly unattainable. She did not ever love him.

Every single time his father was away, something happened to Skyler. Sometimes it was a scissor struck in his skin. Sometimes, his nails were tore apart from the skin. The craziest one was when his eye was half uprooted. There was blood everywhere, and he wailed and cried.

And only his family knew that those weren't his mischief.

"Honey stop it already!" her husband would often say.

What would an expected answer be from a mature woman?

That she was trying to... but her mental instability just didn't allow her to. But her answer was different...

"His eyes are blue, and I hate blue. "

The doctor said, that to overcome the fear of something, she had to grow accustomed to it.

So they decided that one of the would go all blue mode in front of her.

That day in late August, they had a plan to visit the water park in Aquatica. And it is said to be the most dangerous in the country, that is why their slide aren't like the normal ones. Their slides were roof-covered and had a tube sitter for every three people.

Skyler's mom and dad were already in the sitter waiting for Skyler. He went to a friend's home for sleepover the previous night. That was the time he took for dying his hair blue.

Skyler came running, waving his arm to his parents. Blue hair, blue shirt, blue trousers, blue eyes and his mom, hated it.

She stood up, stepped out of the sitter, and the moment Skyler reached her, she whispered something into his ear and...

The water park is not called dangerous for nothing. It is more than a 30 feet fall, from the top and the water is over 10 feet above the ground. They don't have covered roof and tube sitters for nothing. People who fell off the sidewalk have mostly died.
