Foxpaw's pov

A moon had passed since The Assassins had attacked and Cedarpaw and Tilleypaw had woke up and were starting to move around and do things. They hadn't get gone back to doing apprentice duties because of how serious their wounds were. Tilleypaw was trying her hardest to get better because she wanted to hunt with her clan again and train her battle skills. They were almost old enough for their warriors assessment and all the apprentices were getting hyped up. Foxpaw was fiddling with a piece of grass just outside of the camp. She was watching everyone just go about their business. Elephantfall and the others were settling in very well and Cycloneheart was thinking of joining the elders. Lindsaystream and Cypressfoot were always going in and checking on Tilleypaw and Cedarpaw. Dolphinstar and Duskystar were calling out dusk patrols while Moringabelly had just arrived into the camp with Billyshiver, Robinsong, Branchgaze, Shadowstep and Hamsternose. Robinsong and Shadowstep were holding one bird each and Billyshiver was carrying and squirrel in his mouth. They deposited their prey over on the fresh kill pile and disappeared away from Foxpaw's sight. Honeypaw and Briarpaw were sitting down near Basildapple, Thymepuddle, Wirepaw, Wrenpaw and Cinderpaw. The newer cats- Starlingpaw, Almondpaw, Hazelpaw, Sparrowpaw and Cinderpaw- were sitting outside of the apprentices den, just chilling. It's just when Foxpaw thought she wouldn't of been spotted, she was. Starlingpaw has snuck out of her group and slipped behind the trees to meet Foxpaw. Foxpaw half smiled as she sat down.

"i noticed you around camp but you never spoke," Starlingpaw started as she waved her tail lightly over Foxpaw's back. "you seem.....well distant, not wanting to talk to anyone." Starlingpaw realised the uncomfortableness Foxpaw was feeling and her tail stopped. Starlingpaw smiled slightly and cringily forced her tail to stop doing whatever it was doing before.

"Yeah i'm always distant, got a problem?" Foxpaw simply replied, looking back into the dry camp. Her eyes scrunched up as she remembered her only friend, Dawnblaze. Cedarpaw has said that Dawnblaze names herself and Foxpaw was happy she got her warrior name but she was angry and the fox that had attacked her.

"So what's your name?" Starlingpaw's instant mew snapped Foxpaw's thoughts out of her head. she looked back at Starlingpaw, her eyes glowing a little.

"oh, uh—Foxpaw." Replying, Foxpaw cursed in her head. she didn't get why she had replied like that and she had regretted it already. Scrunching up her eyes again, Foxpaw didn't open her eyes for what felt like only a few heartbeats. She opened them as she heard Starlingpaw's faint voice and the soft pelt push Foxpaw to her paws. her eyes ripped open. everything was blurry with black and blue dots and her head started hurting from how many muscles she had just used to scrunch up her eyes. she could hardly see the outline of Starlingpaw nor could she see the ground. Starlingpaw was saying something to her that she couldn't understand and she stumbled across what she thought was the camp.

Tilleypaw's pov

Tilleypaw heard a yowl as if some cat had stepped on a thorn. Tilleypaw made her way to the entrance of the medicine den and peered out. She saw Starlingpaw next to Foxpaw who was stumbling around. Tilleypaw forced her way over to Foxpaw and Starlingpaw, her sealed wounds cursing to break open again and bleed.

"Foxpaw. hello." Tilleypaw looked at Foxpaw who was stumbling around, her eyes scrunched up. Foxpaw stood still for a moment. then her eyes opened. But they weren't the usual colour, they were hazy, white and foggy. Foxpaw didn't do anything for a couple of heartbeats. Springbear, Starlingpaw and Jaypaw were at her side, keeping her balanced.

Foxpaw looked straight at Tilleypaw. Ackleypaw was beside her, his gaze flickering from Foxpaw to Tilleypaw.

"'understanding is good, not the best, and only for the good. understanding is good, not the best, and only for the good. understanding is good, not the best, and only for the good.'" Foxpaw swayed on her paws making Tilleypaw want to scream at her to tell her to stop.

Tilleypaw got pushed out of the way by Oleanderflake, Chillifly and Silversip as they made their way over to Foxpaw. Chillifly whispered something in Springbear's ear and then turned away and walked out of the camp, Midnightbird followed. Oleanderflake just stood their for no reason as Silversip tried calming Foxpaw down. Dolphinstar and Duskystar were at the mouth of their den and Lindsaystream and Cypressfoot were watching from the nursery quietly.

"Foxpaw." Silversip said in a snappy voice as she tried shaking Foxpaw out of whatever was happening in her brain.

"No, no, no...." Cycloneheart was pacing back and forth, muttering the word 'no' to himself. Kitkat and Moringabelly were talking to Basildapple and Tulippaw. Cloverfern was glancing sympathetically at the air and Sunflowerstem and Fleurface were nowhere to be seen. Tilleypaw was glad that those two bee-brains weren't here because they wouldn't of done anything but made fun of Foxpaw when she cane out of her state.

"Stay back. Springbear and I will take care of her." Tilleypaw turned to the sound of Cycloneheart. he looked straight at Tilleypaw making her instantly turn away and her pelt heated up. She instantly felt awkward and she had to turn around and walk away from what was happening. She heard a voice calling her name and she turned and saw her mother, Lindsaystream and father Cypressfoot running after her. they stopped her just as she was about to walk out of camp. Wirepaw and Wrenpaw has appeared from nowhere and had joined Tilleypaw, Wrenpaw put his flank on hers and smiled.

"What's going on......." she mewed slowly and carefully.

Lindsaystream's eyes lit up and Cypressfoot looked like he was about to explode in happiness.

"Yeah....??" She pushed on, waiting to know what they were gonna say.

Lindsaystream straightened up. She muttered to Cypressfoot.

"We're having kits!"
