Robbie's P.O.V.

I drove y/n home.Dinner seemed to be forgotten.We were both silent on the way.Minutes passed and we arrived at her place.I walked her to the up to her floor and her door and once again apologised to not have told her soon.

"Thank you for dinner,"said y/n.

"It was my pleasure."

"We're still drenched form the rain.And I don't want you to catch a cold.Would you like to come in?I think I have something dry for you to change in,"she offered.

"That would be very appreciated."

We went inside her condominium.It was nice and cozy.

"Do you live with someone?"

"It's just my daughter and me,I just hire a babysitter whenever I'm gone somewhere,"she said.

She handed me a clean towel,white shirt and sweatpants that looks about my size.She pointed to the bathroom and I thanked her...

"I'll be changing in my room,I'll make some hot chocolate afterwards."

Y/n left to go change and I did the same.I was done in a span of a minute and I have sat at the sofa when I heard soft crying...

A little girl holding a stuffed bear,tears flooding in her eyes,calling out for her mom...

"Hello,y/d/n,"I greeted with a warm smile.I approached her,I bent to her height,"What's wrong?"

She stared at me for a while,"Daddy?"

Suddenly,y/n came,"No,sweety.That's-"

"Was it a nightmare,y/d/n?"I cut her off.A plan had brewed up in my mind.

The weeping girl nodded.

"Do you want me to tuck you in?"I asked her.She nodded again.

I brought her to my arms and asked y/n to guide me to her room.She opened the door for me and I mumbled a thank you.She watched me as I tucked her daughter in bed.

"Are you my dad?"she whispered so her mother wouldn't hear.

I smiled at her and whispered,"Yes.But your mommy doesn't know yet.Don't worry,I'll tell very soon."

She grinned and sat up to embrace me,"I miss you,Dad."

As weird as it may sound,I missed her too.I missed her first crawl,her first step,her first word.I'm her father nd I don't want to miss anything else.i'm gonna make a move soon.For her,for y/n...for a shot of my own happiness..

"I miss you,too,"I whispered to her and kissed her forehead,"Goodnight."

"It was nice of you to tuck her in,"said y/n as I took a sip of hot chocolate.

"Don't worry about it,"I retorted.

As soon as I was done I told her that I should probably off.It was late and I wanted her to sleep well.She walked me to the door.

"I'll have these clothes washed before I return it.Have a good sleep,y/n?"

"Goodni-"

Well,I seem to get a habit of cutting her off.I've waited a long time to do this.It was a long sweet kiss,I made sure I poured out all my feelings for her.But I had pulled away before she could reciprocate.

She was baffled by my actions and she just stared.But I think I went far tonight.I guess I'll just do the explaining tomorrow.I smiled at her one last time and I started to walk away.I looked back once,she just stood there blushing with her fingers touching her swollen wet lips.

Y/N's P.O.V.

I was a nervous wreck the next day.I was shy than I usually was towards Robbie.I stutter once in a while and he would just give me a smirk.

I went out the building to buy Robbie some coffee from Starbucks as he had always wanted it.It's been a routine now,actually.

I came back early since the line was just short.I knocked at his office door and entered clumsily since he was always aware that it was me.When I had looked up,I stop dead at my tracks...

Both of the twins there,and that woman who had worn a red tight dress all stared up at me.I wanted to slap Peter right there and tell him that he was so ignorant and rude to not call back.And how he stupidly denied his responsibility as a father to his child...But I was at work and his brother is my boss,I must behave formally.

"I'm sorry to have interrupted.My apologies,"I mumbled in embarrassment and started to walk away.

"Wait!"

I turned around to see that Peter had approached me,looking surprised to see me.

"Y/n?Is that you?"

I nodded weakly and next thing I knew,he had embraced me.I didn't return it and pretended to feel awkward about it hence Robbie and that woman was watching.But inside,I wanted to embrace him too despite his faults.I remembered the night he had told me he loved me...He was drunk but I think he meant it.

"Don't touch her,Peter.She's mine."

It was Robbie,sounding stern and angry.Peter complied,took a deep breath and brushed himself off.

"I'm sorry,I didn't know what got into me,"he said.

Someone coughed for attention,we turned to the woman.She extended a hand,"You must be y/n.I'm Yveine.Peter's lover..."

I gulped,holding back the tears from a rotten memory.I shook her hand.

Robbie must have saw me struggling to even stand on my feet.He had approached us and wrapped his arm around my waist announcing his authority and possession.

"I think we had enough chit chat,"he said,"We'll talk soon,brother."

Yveine clamped her arm around Peter and they were about to exit through the door when..

"Peter,I have to talk to you,"I blurt.

Peter had turned but Robbie interfered,"No,she doesn't.Leave now."

"Please,you have to kno-"

"I said,Leave,Peter!"

Peter glared,"That is no way to treat her.If she wishes to talk,she must."

"I am the boss here.Leave now or I'll have the security drag you out,"he threatened.

Peter haven't stop glaring but he was leaving with a very confused Yveine.But I just have to be hardheaded,I tried to follow them.

But Robbie grabbed me by the wrist,so strong,I thought I was going to bruise..

"Robbie,you're hurting me!"

Peter had gone.It was just me and him now.His eyes softened,guilt was evident in his eyes.He had let go of my wrist and I rubbed where his hand were to try and ease the pain.

"Y/n,I'm sorry.I didn't intend that-"

I slapped him on his left cheek...not caring that he was my boss and I might have myself fired.But I was crying now.

"You just ruined my chance,"I sobbed,"I'm trying to fix my life here,can't you see?I don't want my daughter growing up fatherless.He deserves to know about her."

"And you think that Peter would come back if he did?"Robbie shook his head,he was crying,too,"You think he'd cancel his wedding for you?He's a careless man,he doesn't deserve you."

"And you think you do?"I snapped

"Yes,"he replied in confidence,"Because you have every right to know that it was me you caught watching you that day at the garden,not Peter.The relationship you had wouldn't have existed if it weren't for me.You fell in love with me.And I was the one who got drunk and fucked up your innocence.I'm y/d/n's father!"

I could only stare at him.He fell down to his knees...

"I love you,from the very beginning.I've been spending all my time to convince you that I could treat you better.You've been blindingly trying to catch Peter but I'm here.I've always been here waiting with open arms,begging you to return my feelings.I want to be with you.And I want to be there for our daughter...Did our kiss last night meant nothing to you?Am I not enough?"

I finally saw what I've done.Stupidly convincing myself to my ex-boyfriend as I broke his twin brother's heart who had loved me unconditionally.

I bent down and embraced him.Trying to calm him down,letting him know that I was on his side now.

"Y/n?"he croaked.

"Yes?"

"I don't want to force you into this.I want you to love me not because I love you back.I want you to love me because that's what you really feel for me,"said Robbie.

"You just haven't gave me the chance to know who you truly are but I do,Robbie.I just got used to having you here,I never realised that...I love you."

I cupped his cheek and wiped off his tears and gave him a long sweet kiss...He returned it with passion,holding me tight as if I might disappear.

Today,I'm putting my pass behind me.I finally found my happiness whom I never knew was right in front of me.I was choosing the greater good for everyone.For me,for Robbie,for Peter,...and for my daughter..
