Aw11041 wanted a pt 2 to the asexual damian story

Now i know I said no requests but I'm getting overwhelmed SO i'm catching up with some stuff i already started before the Christmas stuff started

Today was the day. He'd decided it. Marked it on the calendar and everything. Damian was going to come out to his brothers. He told them to meet him in the library and they agreed, Dick being concerned whilst the rest were indifferent or aggravated. Good, they acted as he'd planned. So he sat himself down in the library at the agreed-upon time and pretended like he wasn't ripping holes in the furniture with his fingernails out of nervousness. It shouldn't be so nerve-wracking. It wasn't like they could kick him out of the family after all he was the only blood son and Bruce supported him. They couldn't take Robin away as he'd just forge a path of his own. Admittedly though, aside from the facade, he did care for their opinion. Chiefly Dick's opinion. The man had shown him love and support when he didn't have to and it would be painful to have that go away because he'd always perceived it as unconditional. If it was retracted now then he'd know it was always conditional and the one thing he could count on had fallen through. Jason and Tim also mattered in the equation as much as he didn't like to admit it. Jason was skilled and a nice go-to when he didn't have the eldest. He didn't ask too many questions and usually just let him punch something. That something was Tim most of the time. Now Tim and himself had an...interesting relationship. They got along in their own unique way and by that I mean they didn't get along unless someone was going to die or was dying. It wasn't hatred, at least not anymore, they just had a mutual frustration with the existence of the other that could be temporarily stopped. Yet Damian still found himself hoping that Tim was okay with it. He'd rather hold onto the small moments of peace between them than swear them off completely. It was fun as it was but if he knew the hatred was seeded in something he could never hope to change then that would make everything different.

His thoughts were broken by voices in the hallway, more specifically Dick's lecturing voice he used specifically for his brothers and a few comments being made by Tim and Jason. "Whatever he has to tell us, we need to be open about it. No major villain is dead so it can't be as bad as that time I killed Joker," the older insisted to the others.

"But it's so much effort to hide a body from Bruce. Do you know how hard it is to erase social security numbers?" Tim complained. Damian raised an eyebrow upon overhearing the conversation and found himself wondering how many times they'd covered something up. No doubt it was Jason racking up the body count but they did all have the capability to kill. It wouldn't be too surprising if they didn't pull their punch at the wrong moment. He shook his head, determined to focus on coming out rather than the prospect of secret body counts. In all honesty, his rehearsals of the admission never felt quite right. He thought about going in defensive, using metaphors or using a compliment sandwich structure but he was left feeling disingenuous. They didn't have a right to know he was asexual but he had a right to come out how he wanted.

"I think it would be funny if he killed someone. It's been forever since someone else was the problem child of the week," Jason complained.

"That's what happens when you forget Steph in Mexico," Tim pointed out.

"She's an independent woman! She could've gotten home on her own."

"You took her wallet too," Dick added. The footsteps paused and there was a sigh. "Point is, whatever happens, we stick by him. Enough of us have run away from this place and I'd prefer if there's not another."

"We'll be nice," Tim promised. A hum followed and the door to the library was opened. Damian looked up to the door and found himself relaxing upon seeing the eldest smiling at him. That wasn't too surprising though. Dick always made him feel comfortable and seen. Seen in a way that Bruce hadn't until recently. It was nice but it brought up the dreaded idea that if he admitted this was who he was then it would all go away. Maybe this wasn't the best plan but it was already happening. His fellow Robins were sitting themselves around the room and he knew he only got a few moments of silence before they got to investigating.

After taking in a deep breath, Damian glanced around the room. Tim had seated himself in the comfiest armchair known to man. The fabric was soft, and the placement was perfect for temperature and reading not to mention how big it was. It fit the teen nicely, giving him the ability to throw his legs over the side but also curl up completely. Jason had taken to the couch closest to Damian after throwing off half the pillows as though they had wronged him. Then Dick came to sit on the couch he was on, leaving plenty of room between them but being close enough to provide support. It was a sweet gesture, one that Damian appreciated more than he'd ever let the older know. Damian checked his exits in case things went wrong. There was the door, the window behind him, the entrance to the Batcave and then there was always the option to climb the bookcases to escape any bad reactions but he'd have to wait for someone to come to his rescue. Despite his nature to prepare for anything, he didn't expect a violent reaction. None of them wanted to do that to one another if mind control wasn't involved. What he was expecting was disappointed expressions, borderline bigotry and/or the odd comment that devalued who he was. Those would require the exits but not the bookcase. "So," Damian began after nodding to himself. "I have brought you here today because there is a rather pressing matter that you must know about." He swallowed harshly. "During my time here, I have been able to learn a new vocabulary that has made it possible to describe how I feel about...about relationships." His brothers perked at the mention of relationships which wasn't surprising. He never talked about romantic endeavours and the Waynes (adopted, fostered and biological) didn't exactly have the best track records with relationships. Whether it be sleeping with your foster brother's exes, your girlfriend faking her death or sleeping with your ex the night before your wedding and leaving them a wedding invitation. "And I have come to the conclusion that I may not share the same preferences as you all or many people." They didn't say anything, either because they were deciding how to react or because they wanted him to finish he didn't know. All he knew was that he needed this to be out of the way. "I'm asexual."

There was silence for a moment as it sank in. He immediately flicked his eyes towards the nearest exit when he felt a hand on his shoulder. Turning towards it, he was greeted with possibly the friendliest smile he'd ever seen on Dick's face. "That's wonderful Dami," he said. It was so kind and welcoming it made the teen freeze. He knew Dick would be accepting but actually feeling the warmth of it was something else. The weight on his chest was slowly being lifted.

"Yeah, glad to find out there won't be accidental Demon Spawns running about," Jason concurred. He was joking but it wasn't a taunt. Another moment of breathing easier hit the younger. His eyes trailed to Tim who looked happy. Happy. For Damian. That was rare. It was genuine happiness too. Something that couldn't be faked after how they'd spent hating each other's guts.

"I think we've got nearly every sexuality at this point," Tim commented. This made Damian tilt his head to the side, not quite understanding what that meant. Seeing this, he continued. "Well I'm bisexual, Dick is pansexual, Jay is demisexual, Kate is lesbian."

"You forgot Steph and Cass. Steph is lesbian and Cass prefers to say queer," Dick added helpfully.

"How did I not know of this?" Damian asked.

"We're open about it but we don't talk about it a lot," the acrobat explained. "We're usually too busy running for our lives."

"So none of you mind?" They nodded. Huh. He expected something more dramatic yet he found himself rather comforted by this development.

"You're still one of us. Family sticks together no matter how much we hate each other," Dick assured him. "Hey, you should talk to Rae about it! She's asexual too."

"That would be...nice." The older wrapped him up in a quick side hug, careful to abide by the five-second rule but was surprised to find that Damian held onto him long past the rule. He wasn't going to complain so he continued to hold on. "Thanks," he muttered.

"No need. I love you Dami and so do they but they're too emotionally stunted to say so."

"The feeling is mutual."
