Hi!

So, I'm currently writing a non-applyfic book. I've had original works in my drafts for as long as I can remember, but I don't think I've ever published one on this account, or atleast not one that I've continued with.

I've been a little nervous to talk about this, mainly because I haven't had the best of luck in the past when it comes to people reading and commenting on my books. With applyfics and fanfics, there's already a built-in fanbase of some kind, so it makes it a little easier to get exposure to your work. That's good by the way—it means you can really connect with people too.

Promoting my own work is still quite daunting because a part of me always feels like it's showing off, and I don't really have anything to show off, if that makes sense? But no one should have to feel bad about trying to get more people to see their work. So I'm trying to get better at promoting my work.

There is a point to all this, I promise!

As I mentioned before, I have a book coming out soon, called 'Village Idiots.' I've already written the first chapter, and about 85% of the second chapter. I'm going to wait until I've written atleast three chapters before actually publishing the story, and then I'll try to pre-write in batches.

I'll reveal more about the story soon, but I'd really appreciate it if you checked it out once it's published, and helped spread the word about it once I've revealed more about it please?

If you read a bit and decide it's not for you—that's totally fine! It's not going to be everyone's cup of tea, but I appreciate it if you give it a go regardless, or even if you just read a bit of the first chapter.
