Blue.

The color of her tears as they are absorbed into her skin.

Leaving only the tint of pain and sadness.

Shrunken cheeks.

Hollow eyes.

Oh, how she wished to die.

Green.

The color the earth, good and true.

Winding, rolling, changing.

Never in one place for long.

Dying.

Turning brown and bleak.

She feels its death roll under her fingertips.

The green grass fading into dirt.

And she envies it.

Red.

The color of red that stains the whole-hearted's lips.

And the half-hearted's scars.

The scars that bleed with broken promises and pain.

Bt what does that leave her.

Her, who's never craved the touch of another,

besides the skeleton hand that digs it's fingers into her skin.

Leaving only red.

Yellow.

Yellow doesn't stay for long.

It is fleeting.

Leaving as soon as it comes.

Only memories to remember it.

And the warmth that it refused to give.

She likes to think that she was filled with yellow, once.

Orange.
The citrus that explodes across the world.

It's flavor unforgettable.

She forgot it.

All that is left is the bitter taste,

of loneliness, and the feeling that orange,

didn't always burn her tastebuds

and leave her with a sense of dread.

Purple.

The color she branded herself with.

Holding a hot iron against her skin.

Trying to carve it into her mine.

Showing that she is not alone anymore.

But it doesn't help that the color has long faded from her memories.

And all that is left, is gray.

The colors twists and turn and overlap.

Always moving, never in the same order it was before.

Though it matters not, as all the colors of the rainbow

fade into everlasting black.
