This hallway was often abandoned. She would come by here just to be alone. Though, that's all she ever was. Alone. Her ghostly figure floating along the corridor, barely tracing the walls. She kept like this, until she heard a sniffle. Then a muffled cry. As she looked for the source of the sound, she was met with a mere boy. He had slightly curly black hair. That's all she could see, as his face was burried in his knees. She made her way closer to the boy.

"Are you alright, little one?" her soft voice rang through the empty hallway.

The boy picked his head up, he couldn't have been older than 12. His eyes widened when he realized it was a ghost he was faced with.

"Wh-who are you?" he sniffled.

She looked up for a moment, "I- I don't believe I could tell you."

"You don't know who you are?"

She shook her head, floating down to the boy's level.

The boy had a sudden face of realization. "You're the Lady Oblivion? I've heard about you..!"

The ghost shrugged her shoulders. "Well, if that's what they like to call me." she paused for a moment. "Who are you?" she tilted her head.

He sniffled, "I'm Regulus. Regulus Black."

"Why are you here crying, all alone, Regulus Black?" she asked him.

"Because my friends would make fun of me if they saw me." he wiped his eyes with his sleeve.

"Well, they don't sound like very good friends..." she nodded. "But- why are you crying, Mr. Black?"

He wiped another tear that escaped his eye, "I don't want to burden anyone, miss."

"Dear Regulus Black, you wouldn't be a burden. Here- tell me what's got you all sad." she gave him a comforting smile.

He sighed, "It's- it's nothing really-" he took a breath. "My family isn't really nice to my brother. So- so, he's not very nice to me anymore."

"Oh, dear, little one. I'm sorry." she frowned. "You have every right to be upset, love." she attempted to pat is head, instead just lightly brushing over it.

"I'm sorry, miss." he sniffled.

"What are you sorry for?" she tilted her head.

"It's only polite." Regulus looked up at her.

"To apologize for crying?" the confusion was heard in her voice.

The boy nodded, quickly wiping off the tears falling from his eyes.

She shook her head, "There there, little one, you can cry all you would like. I do not mind."

He let out a small sigh, looking down at his knees. "I should get going... back to my common room..." he stood up and straightened himself out. "It was nice to meet you, miss."

"It was wonderful to meet you, as well, Regulus Black." she smiled at him.

As the boy shuffled away, she couldn't help but ponder on the thought of him. He seemed like a delightful little boy, how could one make him so terribly sad?
